A Dark Knight
If I approached you now,
You would not see me,
Hidden in these shadows,
I could strike thee.
If I drew my knife softly,
Came from behind you,
Helpless as your victims,
What could you do?
If I turned away from,
All my honour sworn,
Then I could kill you,
And you could no more.
But if I call out to you,
A challenge to be done,
Then you have a chance,
Or you may run.
If I stay true to my code,
That honour is life,
I cannot hide like a thief,
I must be the knight.
If I hide in this alley,
Both cowardly yet bold,
Then I will not act,
Revenge is cold.
Thanks to Roger (Alacrity) Briant for this contribution!
