The Wedding
For every claw, a carress,
For every tooth, a word.
With every single jet of flame,
A dragon's song is heard.
For every scale, a glittering jewel,
For every death, a tear.
And every time the news is heard,
Of honor gained, a cheer.
Within the heart of the killer,
Lies the poet's soul.
Within all the destruction,
Lies the ability to make whole.
Two opposites joined in perfection,
Just as West and East.
Deep within the dragon's soul,
Lies both beauty and beast.
