Physical Description:

David is in very good physical shape due to the fact he spends a lot of time climbing up and down trees to study one of his passions epiphytic plants. He is not stand-out-from-the-crowd attractive but upon closer inspection (if any women ever decided to give him a second glance; a bit difficult when he’s up a tree) one would find he is actually quite handsome. |

Family and Background:

David’s parents were both botanists and their research took them to several remote places around the planet over the course of David’s childhood (his favourite being the rainforest). He has a sister, Alice, who, like him and his parents, shares a passion for botany due to her upbringing. |

David did not have a formal education as a child, instead he was educated by his parents and the rest of their research team, hence it was very science heavy (in fact, he preferred it that way).
He joined Starfleet academy in 2360, aged 19. |

Personal Bio:
|
David is a natural born explorer. He is always the first to volunteer for away missions, climb to the top of the tallest tree in the arboretum, sample new alien cuisine and explore uncharted areas of space. Unfortunately, sometimes his enthusiasm to discover leads him to rush and forget things, although he has been doing better since he broke five ribs falling out of a fig tree due to not properly securing his climbing winch… as his mother used to say, “We all learn from our mistakes, but the more painful the mistake the more you learn from it.” |
