Typical sports-related injuries during periods of more frequent roller derby and par cors training; mainly, sprains, contusions, bruising, twice broken nose, once dislocated right shoulder, once fractured middle finger on right hand.
On duty injuries or medical emergencies -Treated for mild oxygen deprivation after a laboratory accident created an atmospheric breach and McGinty, last in the laboratory to lose consciousness, had to quickly act to seal the breach and perform field triage, saving the samples in their study and the lives of all four people in the meteor-lab by raising the alarm and calling for help. before her own black out...Result: A Commendation (medal for bravery and quick thinking under pressure.) |

Junior year at Starfleet Academy was when she was introduced to roller derby. Her team was called "Hell's Belles" and her Derby name is "Angel of Death". She still practices sometimes, usually on the holodeck. Finding other derby girls is rare.
In her Senior year at the Academy she was on the winning team "The Federation Fantastics", in an academy-wide Par Cors competition and her team also went on to win an Intergalactic Par Cors Championship.
She loves to read and study, usually with jazz or Betazoid Folk Music in the background.
Roseangela rarely sleeps more than 6 hours per night, even on holiday. She prefers to rise early to exercise, study, breakfast, at her leisure before starting the day.
Can play piano and sings well but doesn't feel comfortable performing for others.

Born on Betazed where her parents were Starfleet diplomats. Lived on Betazed until age 17 (two weeks from age 18).

Roseangela is very proud of her kid brother's success because she took care of him herself exclusively during his adolescence after their parents were killed in a Ferengi terrorist attack at a Starfleet convention of alligned worlds where nine Starfleet personnell and two civilians in that convention center were tragically lost. Roseangela was two weeks from her eighteenth birthday when she received news that her brother and her were now orphans. She was also all packed up to leave Betazed for Starfleet Academy the following week. The day she'd been accepted had been the happiest day of her life. And, just a few short months later she'd leave with a heavy heart to go to Starfleet to pursue her dream of Science Officer and who knew where that could lead...but she couldn't leave Frankie behind alone. So, instead of staying at the dorms she got them a small flat just a mile from campus but literally next door to a great liberal arts high school where she got her brother enrolled. It was hectic for the two young people, learning to make their way in an adult world while both pursuing new studies and a new life on earth with nobody but each other to depend on, but they managed to make it work.
Roseangela's drive to succeed is softened by her kind heartedness and great listening skills. Her childhood among Betazoids has led her to being honest and direct but also very keen at reading body language and empathising with the plights of others. For a human she can be quite sensitive in that way and it leads to her having no trouble making friends but despite that social grace she's still somewhat private about her personal life and is at times stubbornly independent. She's been told many times she'd be great on a Command track for her career or for Medical but Science has always been her passion most of all. Her specialty is in Botany and Xenobotany but she's proficient enough in all disciplines and it's why she's now C.S.O.
