New Poems

I Once Knew...
Pain shoots through my limbs,
My heart explodes in pain.
The word fades to black,
Yet I can't stop thinking.

Everything has disappeared
But the thoughts and pain.
Without a heart, I still live,
In sorrow and hatred.

The beautiful world,
That once surrounded me,
Has long since faded,
Burning to ashes before my eyes.

The world is in ruin,
The smell of burnt flesh,
Earth, and new life,
Gnawing at my nose.

The blood filling the once beautiful oceans,
And Bones littering our once green Earth.
I should have seen it creeping upon us,
Like a bird of prey.

I would appreciate feedback on all poems.

Black Rose
Anger sparks deep within
The beauty across the room.
Fire sparks in her normally blue eyes
As she plays with something beneath the table top.

Breathing is calm and times perfectly,
Yet the fire dances in her eyes restlessly.
Her gaze piercing into the table
Seemingly unblinking.

Suddenly her eyes shut
Her body goes limp
And falls to the floor
Blood pooling around her slim body.

A single black rose between her hands.
The stem of the rose hid a sharp knife
Which she buried deep within her stomach.
Without emotion she lay dead on the floor.

Dead to the world, and unresponsive.
You panic and run to her side.
Lifting her head you wonder
What she was going through.

The black rose bore the red stains of her blood,
The green stem covered with the substance.
Her face faded white as snow
Her soft lips turned violet in color.
