Where is the Jedi
As much as I don't want to keep you guys waiting I need the Jedi do something, but I will give you a choice
1) We wait for Duncan74 to post up.
OR
2) I continue GMing you and you travel the galaxy doing as you wish untill Duncan74 posts then I can continue the adventure.
What's it going to be?

I think those profiles are off
He has most definatly been active... but from what I hear he has just started up a new job that is taking up all of his time, I haven't seen him on for a few days now. And from what I know of him I don't think he would be offended if we went ahead without him and let him join in once he gets some more time on his hands. That is what is going on in ST:OP right now.
So that is where my vote is. But trust me he has been active... we joined within days of each other and the boy has already outposted me... lol...

Jobs
I know he's starting a new job, I just didn't know where you stand on the starting thing. It's good you know where you stand Merideth.
The thing with this campaign is there is room for you guys to travel the galaxy and back, it might actually be a small advantage to me if when he joined you were a few light-years away.

er...
Sorry GM, I can't justify this anymore. If these guys have wives and kids, I can't cause them grief (a lost job) and possibly death when I don't know anything about them just to get a free ship. WHY are we stealing this ship?

Oh, only to...
Use it to attain some sort of monetary income (via possible smuggling) at all in order to achieve any standard of living ^_^
And as for continuing, yeah, we might as well; I know duncan74's character has been changed to an npc temporarily in Glory's campaign...

lol
I love it Rer doesn't have a conscience, maybe she is a droid irl.
Although Suicidolt I'd have to agree, Lelain might be a smuggler, but only because she has to be, and only for the past few months, she's not going to kill anyone who is sitting around talking about their families. Now as for the job bit... well she's not quiet as nice about that... she did loose her job.
So what are the motivations for the ship so I know just what course of action she will take here...

You do not have to kill the guards OK, I'm not just saying that. Stun them and take the ship, killing people isn't the only way to do things, most of your enemies from now on will be droids.
You are steeling the ship because your records were wiped, when you were fired KTIndustries wiped your characters e-traces, as far as the system is concerned you don't exist, and as you don't exist you can't get a job to buy food.
Motivations for taking the ship are thus:
Pay bay at KTIndustries for firing you.
So you may obtain some standard of income.
So your characters may explore the galaxy.

Thanks, but still no dice
It's specifically because of what happened to me that I don't want to steal the ship Loki. I know that the company will do the same to these guys. And they have a family to care for. I can find another way to make money. I don't have to do this...

Question...
is there a computer interface port nearby?
@Meri: yes, I could be one of those HRD's... (Human Replica Droids)... hehehe, no, of course not... even if I did get 100% in math and computer science ^_^

A soldier
A soldier with his blaster set to lethal with a conscience?
You don't have to steel the ship but if you don't you can't continue with the adventure as I'm not DMing a character dieing in a gutter, put yourself in his shoes, your character needs some form of income and it needs to be illegal because of what KTIndustries did to you.
Some other info for your character is what happens to an employee if this sort of thing happens to them, their just demoted to a lower job, one they can't make a mistake on.
There is a computer port in the wall next to the door BTW and yes, your computer interface arm is compatible as you were both made by the same company.

vital or not Loki?
BAD DM! You don't even know my character is a female!
Anyhow, I suppose that if stealing this ship is vital to your storyline I can find a way to do it. Alternatively, if it isn't, believe me, I can find a way to make money.

you guys are weird
But I'm playing with you so, I guess that makes me weird too. I've cleared up my characters moral issues and posted up.

Sui...
I don't think you understand exactly how critical it would be for our characters. At the very least, the ship provides a means, even if only used for this, to leave the planet to survive elsewhere where KTI isn't so dominant, perhaps even to another Outer Rim planet if needed.
If the universe of SW is anything like reality, you have to consider that applying for a job would require something like a social insurance number. Even if our chars were to apply for one, application requires identification, which we wouldn't have (not any that are seen as valid at any rate). On a world such as this where technology is a strong factor, credits will likely be used far more than any physical currency. Without any apparent, credible account with which to store credits even if you got a basic job that gave you income, and unable to apply for one due to lack of valid identification, survival isn't going to be that great to begin with.
On another Outer Rim planet where currency is 'more real', then perhaps it's a viable option to find another way, but in this setting, basically the only way truly would be to beg. Even crafting and making one's own business requires funding to begin with, and without credentials, you won't find many (if any) investors. I'm not saying the starship grants instant survival; I'm just saying chances are probably going to be much better.
(Yes, I know Sullust is in the Outer Rim astronomically, but it is a member of the New Republic, and so would deal with more credits than other currency I think)
