Plot twists most worth of a dice shower?
So, you've pursued that villain for session after session, only to have him turn out to be completely unrelated to the plot?
The answer, of course, is to pelt your GM with a nice handful of dice.
Share with us some stories of moments that made you want to treat your DM/GM/storyteller to this punishment!
I'll start you off with one my pal Richard just related to me:
Their party had spent the past two realtime years (biweekly sessions) dealing with their nemesis, this "master of the dream realm" guy. They'd vanquished him two or three times, but he always kept finding his way back into their lives.
Characters had lived, some had married, some had seen friends and loved ones die. Some had made bad choices, some had done quite well.
They just discovered that it was ALL a dream.
Methinks a dice shower would be too kind. A lynching might be in order, instead!

lol
As you have recently learned, most tabletop RPGs are played with the use of at least a few polyhedral (multisided) dice. A dice shower come when someone at the table does something particularly bad (their fourteenth bad pun in a row, for instance), and the rest of the player begin pelting them with dice.

Just so you know...
Around here, we don't do that. Dice can become rather expensive to replace rather quickly. Throwing dice at someone is reserved for the harshest of crimes (like taking the last slice of pizza or pronouncing it "Thay-co"). Normally, you would receive a Frito shower.

Yes
The DM know you have the players attention when they all pelt the DM with dice.

Thay-co?
Is that a regional thing? I've always pronounced it "thay-co"...
If you don't know what we are talking about, don't ask. Trust me, you won't care (2e rules thing).

What?
OK, first: BBQ Fritos are sacrosanct. They will NEVER be thrown. They are to be treated with the respect a holy relic deserves.
Secondly, here, we say Thaco (rhymes with wacko)... and by "here," I mean my circle of friends. We're die-hard adherents, and keep the battle going strong. You Thay-co jerks will rue the day you ever crossed character sheets with the BirthDay Party!
On a related note, there was a short-lived Thac-zero faction, but we ended that when we told his mom he was playing D&D.

Hmmm
Am I the only one living on the border where we get both pronunciations?
