Quantum of Solace (sans spoilers)

Okay, folks. Just got back from seeing the new Bond movie. All you yanks don't get it till next week, if I'm not mistaken? Okay. So, first impressions is, I liked it. Seemed more like a charecter piece than Casino Royale did. The plot seemed really secondary in a lot of instances, and in others it just seemed like they were setting it up for number 3. But in all honesty, that's pretty much what it was meant to do. QoS didn't really seem like a movie that wanted to be watched on its own. And that's fine. But what it did do, it did very well. Meaning, now that they got they got the actually building of the charecter out of the way with CR, they seemed to be exploring the established charecter more in depth than any other movie has. Also notable is the action sequences. There is lots of them. They are loud, and they are everywhere. In the first half, at least (note: DO NOT ARIVE LATE TO THE MOVIE). One particularly entertaining one makes use of a burning building and VERY angry french man. Hijinx ensue. Also, be prepared for a few instances of Bourne-induced camera.
Now, what I didn't like. The theme music was kind of meh-enducing. Seems we havn't had a really good bond theme sinse Tomorrow Never Dies, in my opinion. Also, with Vesper out of the way, Looks like the female charecters are back to being eye-candy for the most part.
So, final verdict? See it if you're curious about where the over-arching Bondian story is going, but make sure you've seen CR first and intend to see the next one coming.
I'd give it an A-, I'd say.

Cheers

We wondering if it would survive the hype. And extra cheers for no spoilers. If someone spoils it for me there will be hell to pay.

Can't wait to see it.
