Dungeons & Dragon: Wrath of the Dragon God

Has anyone seen this movie? Caught part of it on cable and now I have to get the DVD and see the whole thing. If you saw the first D&D movie I think this one is better and is closer to the game in mechanics but the special effects are not as good as the original D&D Movie.

This one doesnt have the kiddy aspect to it, though it is still rated PG.

I recommend you check it out. The parts I saw were better and made me want to see the whole thing from the beginning. I do wish the special effects were better though.

Check it out!

If you seen it let me know what you thought.

It was good

However i have to say the movie that got closest to game mechanics was.........the gamers. Probably the funniest D&D movie ever

Hmmm

I remember vaguely starting to watch the movie, but for one reason or another I don't think I ever finished it. Mayhaps it sucked too much? Then again I knew beforehand that it wouldn't exactly be Cannes-stuff, so the disappointment shouldn't have been too bad. Who knows... Maybe I'll need to dig the flick out from some pile of forgotten films.

decent movie

There were two dragons in it and the CG graphics that made them up was much better than the first movie. Continuity didn't seem to be an issue with the producers though. The girls were hot.

Continuity-wise, Profion in the first movie DID remove the "curse" before he died. Riddly then fought and killed
Damadar by stabbing him from behind then tossing him off the tower. So the story of how he made it into the second story makes no sense.

It was a decent movie but it and its predecessor lack something.

D&D was inspired by Tolkien and Mass army simulation games in the beginning. Lord of the Rings Trilogy was a great sucess. I guess what I'm saying is the next D&D movie should be directed by Peter Jackson.

Yes, much better than the first film. They really should have included Dave Arneson's cameo in the original film.
Do watch the film w/commentary. Hilarious! Cleric, Rogue and Barbarian critique PC's actions.
