Old newb
How old? Well, old enough to remember when the first D&D boxed set came out.
Suffice it to say, I've played for a long time. Or rather I've DM'd for a long time. I've hardly ever had the chance to play. Which is what brings me here.
I've never played by post, but have DM'd a long running play by e-mail game, so I expect I'll catch on quickly enough.
I've pretty much limited myself to D&D (every edition but 4.0) and GURPS over the years. I've played just about every genre of game you can think of, but plain old swords and sorcery type fantasy has always been my favorite.
Just thought I'd drop in and introduce myself. If all goes well, you'll be seeing a fair amount of me.

Words of Greetings
Kyle enters the Inn and approaches the bar, “Keep a bar towel and a mug of your finest ale.” Kyle tosses two gold coins on the bar and with a smile, “It was a good day.” Kyle wipe the blood from his face and then downs the mug, “Another mug while I wait on a plate of what ever is on the fire and a glass of wine with my meal. I will be taking a room if you have one?”
“Mutton on the fire, wife made it. Goes good with the house wine and there is always room for one of Odin’s finest. Good Kyle, sir.” The keep says as he places another mug in front of the War Cleric.
Kyle turns and scans the inn for a table and sees a new face. Kyle waits as the stranger introduces himself and then takes his seat. Grugg, of the Moderator clan is first to give words of welcome. Then the Lady Brianna gives here greetings to the new comer.
Kyle then approaches and extents his hand in greetings, “I am Kyle Westhelm of the house Westhelm, War Cleric of Odin, I also remember my first box set,” Kyle pauses for a moment, “A red box and the dice I think were light blue with a white stick of wax for coloring.” Kyle stops for a second and then looks at Deathwysh, “Well with that I give away my age. Anyway, welcome to the Inn of the Red Dragon. Perhaps one day we will travel together on the road to the next.”

Player needed
Okay, on that note Kyle's post reminded me that a game we are in together needs players for established characters, Check with Tann'Talas who DM's "Trilogy War", a 3.5 D&D game. We have recently lost a few key characters at a critical time in the adventure that desperately need to be taken over. So if you are interested in wading right in contact him.

Wow...
Okay Deathwysh... not to take away from your welcome and everything... and of course I'm glad to see a new user up her all the time...
But WOW! Kyle, I'm impressed. That is some wonderful RP. We will definitely need to game together sometime in the future.

welcome welcome
Welcome to the inn! I too started with play by email, and I find I like forum gaming a lot better. It's cleaner and you don't have to search for messages. Plus with the dice rollers and chat rooms we have it makes for an overall better experience IMHO.
Hope to be seeing more of you.

Bwahahaha
The Indoctrination is working. More and more people flock to our steps. Soon we will have enough people to capture that Wal-Mart and then buy all their stock! BWAHAHAHA.
Oh...sorry about that, maniacle outbursts are a thing with me. I hope you enjoy your stay...because that Wal-Mart is going to be hard to take.

Welcome and Well met
Please check out my game which is soon to be up and running.
It's a 3.5 D&D play by post game called "Diabolic Genesis: Origins of Evil". Wrote it up myself. Probably will take close to a year to play through.
and again...I'd like to extend a laurel and a hardy handshake to our new.........inn-mate. (someone leaning against a wall in their chair collapses)

Another Welcome
Yes Welcome to the Inn I know if your an old gamer like me you'll find a game or two to play in or even run one of your own.
Now as to what Brianna said about my game the Trilogy War she is correct that I am in need of players as I and the Inn seem to have lost 3 members. She is incorrect however as to the game rules as they are not 3.5 but 2nd Edition with a few modifactions.
Feel free to check out the thread and contact me if interested.
Again welcome to our home I hope you find it as enjoyable as we do.
