ack...suffering from pun fallout. Too bad to live, too silly to die.

You forgot the green slime omn the floor and the grey ooze on the walls. What kind of a DM are you?

I warned you - the bad puns will live in this comic.

Bubbles

I was a little confused by the ordering of the speech bubbles in panel #5. The DM looks like he's talking first when it's in fact Brad who does. I believe there are some conventions for how to do that ordering in comics when space is limited, but I can't say off-hand what they are. I think it's worth looking into for future strips.

Until then, I would blame Grugg for any confusion.

speech

I'm not really happy with the bubbles on that panel, either. I'm having a tough time making all four work on that space.

It's possible that we may need to look into splitting it into two panels, I'm not sure.

Dialogue

Generally, speech bubbles are ordered from top to bottom, the highest bubble is the first speaker and the speech bubbles responding to, or spoken next are below the previous bubbles.

The group shot isn't good for more then four bubbles, which is my fault.

well

I know that folks usually want to read left to right, *unless* the bubbles are stacked on top of one another. This panel was just tough to work with - it was one of our very first tries at lots of conversation going on around the table, and the logical flow of the conversation required speech from people sitting at odd positions to one another.

In later strips, we move to more of a "multiple panels with individual closeups" method to help with this.

Call this growing pains or something.

Prepare to be smitten!

Good ideas, all. Still, as mentioned, we could simply put it all on Grugg.

well

I naturally agree that placing the blame on Grugg is the logical thing to do.

Sigh

You're lucky I'm so pretty.

I'm not sure why that makes you lucky...but I sure am pretty.

Also yay for rushing a combat and beating the elf.

Yeah, Grugg, you are as pretty as a bag of potatoes*

I hate to say this but this is the first page that actually drew a smile on my face. Perhaps it is because I do not recognize your standard puns so far, but in any case I enjoyed this one

(*as it turns out, a bag of potatoes can be pretty damn pretty)

Well....

Well I just started school after my birthday and I've been forgetting to check the new comics at school instead of home. I just remembered and I looked at the strip and thought it was very creative.

I don't know why but that's the first word that comes to mind: creative. Great work guys.
