Hello everyone. I am new to the site, but not to the online community. I have been active in the online roleplaying community for the past several years.

I have played every version of D&D since the red box up to 3.5 edition. I have never played (nor want to) 4th edition. Its not that Im closed minded, but I am cheap and not willing to buy all the books over again.

I also played several other games as well: TMNT, Cyberpunk 2013 & 2020, and Freeform among others.

My passion is designing new resources. I have made several thousand new spells, items, and such for D&D games. I have had one .pdf published (along with a friend of mine).

Anyways due to my job I will be on and off. I work internationally and do not always have a reliable internet connection. I work a 28/28 rotational schedule.

Well Shadowbranch... glad to have you join in, sounds like you have alot of experience to bring to the table which is always good to have.

You'll notice that most of our games are not in 4e, we've only just started to have people interested in it (in fact we have quiet a few older members who make us run 2e... ).

Welcome to the community, as you can likely tell I'm rather new myself, but I'm almost always lurking around somewhere.

Your reasons for not playing 4e sound just like mine, $30 a book is just crazy when you've already got a collection of the books from the previous (and in my opinion better) edition. I haven't bothered with 4e because I have somewhere in the range of 40+ 3.x books and that is a lot of money just pushed aside for a new edition of the game..

Forgive Merideth Shadowbranch1 (Grab her quick and keep her quiet!!) we don't force anyone to run 2e (Get those implants installed) some of us older DM's just prefer it over the other editions. (OK start the brainwash)
However let me also welcome you to the Inn (Implants ready) for some of us, myself included, its a second home. I'm sure you'll find what your looking for given time and feel free to run a AD&D game of whatever edition you prefer. (New Member brainwash underway.... Play 2e, Play 2e, Play 2e)

“I also recall the Red Box,” a smile comes to Kyle’s face, “Do you recall the dice and the wax color stick? My dice were a light blue and the color of the wax was white.” Kyle calls for a mug of ale to be brought to Shadow Branch and then for all other mugs, goblets, tankards, and glasses to be filled. Kyle lifts his own tankard high, “A drink for our newest member to the Inn of the Red Dragon.” Kyle turns to the Inn’s newest member, “Welcome to the family.
