What would you guys think about me posting a web comic?

I've been thinking about posting an amateur, just-for-fun webcomic recently. I mean, it would be fun and a great way to slowly improve my cartoon skills, right?

Problem is, my creativity has been running dry lately. I'm fine drawing; but I haven't had enthuasim for writing in ages. That's why I need YOU!

I need to people to give me ideas for a webcomic, maybe a few rough scripts, things you'd like to see... If I get a push, I can take off on my own, but I need a bit of help to begin with!

Oh yeah...

I'll be drawing the comic on my Wacom Tablet, problably using plain old paint or my manga studio, but it won't be anything fancy, and colored posts will only be put up occasionally. The whole thing will be featured on my deviantART, and I'd really like some people interested in it, so I'm gonna talk to my dad to see about advertising.

I'm playing with a few ideas right now.

I know I want some Monty Pyhton references in it, but I don't want anything too graphic. After all, I'm not an adult, so I don't want to be using all adult humor. Think of things that would appeal to teen-adult groups, but I don't want it just... nasty!

I sound like I'm relying on you guys for everything... Sorry ""

Hmmm

Just off the top of my head. . .

A story revolving around the secret life of gaming dice?

How about monsters using our world as a basis for role-play? It made for a side-splitting Robot Chicken sketch.

Toy Story-esque tale of gaming miniatures?

Reality show centered around disparate archetypes of gaming and how they manage to get along?

For some reason (perhaps because I'm looking at my copy of "Clerks: the Animated Series" on the shelf) I'm thinking of NPC's and how they live out their lives happily enough without the gleaming presence of player characters and even in spite of the PC's generally mucking up town life.

Well, that's the best I can do before breakfast. Even if you think these ideas are bunk, at least you'll have a better idea what not to try.

Best of Luck!

Don't know...

...that I've got the spare brain-cells to help with scripts or subjects, at the moment, your young highness, but I would, of course, love to see whatever you may come up with. I was rightly impressed with your LD fan art!

If I do happen to get a spark of inspiration or whatever, I'll be sure to let you know.

Ahhhhh....

How about illustrating the "Add On Story, three word" posting game?
That gets a bit strange and forever changing. Could be a challenge to catch those mental pictures on paper.

A parody of the alton Brown cooking show "Good Eats" only instead of examining food and cooking, it looks at weapons and fighting techniques. Call it Good Beats ....

Or instead...

Of weapons its studying of monsters? That be an interesting one.

and I like Pit's idea of how town life keeps going, and it would make for a very interesting story line as you could basically do whatever you want with it!

O Princess, My Princess. . .

Any updates? Have you found your writing muse? Wacom still chugging merrily along?

In an ancient Dragon magazine, there was an article dedicated to the interaction between PC's and their families. It was all tongue in cheek, but may be another jumping-off place for ideas.

Whoot, art!

I'm kinda occupied with someone else's comic at the moment, but best of luck in your endeavor! Do you have a Devart gallery or something so I can spy on your art? =P
