Scott Pilgrim vs The World

Veronica and I went to see Scott Pilgrim vs The World last night. This is an awesome film of epic awesomeness. I laughed so hard during the film that my jaw hurt at the end.

It is a quirky film with no basis in reality. If you have ever played a video game (especially the one on one fighting games), been in love or read a Anime/Manga - then you will enjoy Scott Pilgrim.

Oh yeah...

...saw this one myself, yesterday. Fantastic movie if you're into complete and utter hilarity and whoa moments.

Think Kung Fu Hustle, meets Indie Rock Band flick, meets anime on crack!

So surprisingly good, in fact, that I may just have to go see it again...

The laughs start, I think, when they do the "8-bit/midi" Universal Pictures intro...

In short... SEE IT!!!

Then I shouldn't see it?

Romance, who loves to nod and sing,
With drowsy head and folded wing,
Among the green leaves as they shake
Far down within some shadowy lake,
To me a painted paroquet
Hath been- a most familiar bird-
Taught me my alphabet to say-
To lisp my very earliest word
While in the wild wood I did lie,
A child- with a most knowing eye.

Of late, eternal Condor years
So shake the very Heaven on high
With tumult as they thunder by,
I have no time for idle cares
Through gazing on the unquiet sky.
And when an hour with calmer wings
Its down upon my spirit flings-
That little time with lyre and rhyme
To while away- forbidden things!
My heart would feel to be a crime
Unless it trembled with the strings.

Edgar Allan Poe

hilarious

Just saw it tonight. Completely refreshing to see something original in the theaters for a change.
