Hey all!

After an extended absence I have returned to the Inn and all my friends getting sloshed within it. Heh. Or eating a haunch of something dead.

I would like to launch a freeform Star Trek game, and I wonder if anyone would be interested in playing.

This would not be any sort of extension of storylines from any of the other Trek games we've played here. I missed out on a lot of story points of the previous games and I wouldn't want to do them any sort of disservice by trying and flubbing. This would be a fresh story, although if you want to play and have played in past games you are of course welcome to use that character (it would be awesome if Mac made an appearance, Eol-wink, wink, nudge, nudge).

So, if you'd like to boldly go with me, just let me know. I promise I will do my best to make it an enjoyable game!

I am a bit loaded down with games and such at the moment... but... for you, O' long absent one, I suppose I can muster a Mac appearance. Might not be able to play a MAJOR part, but I'd certainly be honored to drag the ol' haggis outta mothballs for ya.


And, should I manage to stuff some more 'freetime' into the bank somehow, I reckon I could even be coerced into going beyond 'bit part' for ya at some point...

Wow, don't everyone respond at once. Ah well. Guess it won't be happening then. Can't say I'm not disappointed; I was looking forward to running a fun game.

Guess I'll be trolling for a game to join soon, then.

two days is no where near long enough. Im a bit stretched but let me know what info you need as far as a character is concerned and I will play. Telling you now, I won't be playing an ensign or a red shirt (usually security in STOS). lol

When you're right you're right-hehe. I did jump the gun a bit and I stand properly reminded!

As far as character info, for now just ponder upon what race, background, position and any other ancillary bits you'd like. I'll get more specific requirements to you if there's enough response to launch.

As for Trek? Ack. I have had a terrible jones lately for Trek, but have resisted its siren song so far...

I have been talked into trek twice by someone and both times the game died before it started. No, Not, Negative, Nien, Ixnay on the yes part.

Alacrity, I completely understand. All the Trekkin' I've done here fizzled as well. If we launch, though, the offer still stands.

Eol, I am thinking TNG era. Still pondering whether or not I will center it around any of the major story points in the shows/movies. Maybe try something new and unique. Still gauging response.

Following a falling out with Soong, after serving secretly as an apprentice and assistant for 15 years, Jimpson set out to show up his old mentor by creating a more stable and advanced positronic brain, with the ability to express emotion, use slang and contractions in its use of linguistics, thereby making Soong's life long labor obsolete. An interesting note, Jimpson died on the 10th anniversary of Soong's death. Soong died a year before Jimpson's secretive success, so he didn't get the chance to gloat and rub it in the robotics genius' face.

Like Data and Lore to Soong, Syntax is Jimson's doppelganger.

Not sure if you might be interested in the genre or the game in general but have you tried shooting Olan a PM re: the Zombies in Chicago game?

We've got an absentee at the moment and there may be an opening if you're interested. Worth checking maybe?
