3.5 handbook?
There are some websites that have online data for the older versions, the first I found was 3.5 (I best duck before some 2.0 people attack me) I am not sure if I will get in trouble for posting the site, but if I do, I will take it down...
Try http://www.d20srd.org/ for an online 3.5 PHB.

Oh Ok how about this
Well tell you what I have my own character sheets I use in my game Trilogy but they are 2nd Edition based.
If you want I could PM you a blank copy of one to help you get an idea of how to create your own.
Let me know and I can do it right now

moved
Moved your question to the Common Room, since the Q/A is for game-related Q/As.
As for drawing character sheets, what program do you intend to use?

program....
well for most ive been using the DnD character builder you get from the wizards website but i cant even go past level 3 on the wizards one because i dont gots the paid version, so i was actually probably going to find like a regular character sheet and do it the old fashond way but i dont really know how too in the first place so thats one of the main reasons i wanted the handbook in the first place if its in there, and basically make an inventor character that way

Sound like a 4.0 sheet?
If you're building a 4.0 character I built an excel spreadsheet to level past level 3. You do need a 4th edition handbook to look up the information on additional skills and such this only adds the per level bonuses to skill and abilities. I could try to send it to you. If you load "Open Office" which is free it may accept the Excel formatting.

character generator
I think RedBlade character generator is still free if you want to use a program to make your character.
my dm used to use it to make quick pcs for one shot adventures and for npcs.
