This looks terrible

Anybody seen the new teaser/trailer for the upcoming Smurfs movie? It looks awful!

Now I know I shouldn't have expected something close to the cartoons that I used to watch as a kid, but the 3D looks dreadfully average, and it seems to be set in New York?

What?

ugh

A movie that should not have been made... Hollywood has no original ideas.

New York, though... really?

Disappointment

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed—not in the movie, but in the thread. I was expecting it to be posting game where you list various unlikely and undesirable Smurfs. You know, characters like Zombie Smurf, Twitter Smurf or Taliban Smurf.

most times saying smurf in a sentencewithout spam i think

son of a smurf, how could they make a smurfin movie about the smurfs, those smurfin smurfers were already on the top of my smurf list. Seriously, those blue smurfers to me were cheesey, i'll stick to my smurfin power rangers. Make a GOOD movie about them hollywood... ya smurfs...

Scarab and lifespring, +1

Both of youse almost owed me a new monitor!

Who knew when Metallica penned "The Thing That Should Not Be," in all honesty THIS cinematic piece of tripe would rear its head and accept the challenge. This is not, and has not been for some time, a good era in which to be a child of the 80's--Hollywood can't wait to leave steaming coils of ICK all over our childhood.
