Lord of the Rings Trivia Game
(Because at least one person in another thread voiced support for this. . .)
Greetz, Everyone!
Seems a good place to test our Geek level as it pertains to Lord of the Rings. Just like any trivia game here:
OP posts a question to be answered, answerer does so and posts another.
NO Googling, Wikipedia'ing or other online "research." Read the books or watch the movies.
This game is a Smite-free Zone unless you prove somebody wrong, say a player declares an answer to their question right and is incorrect and you catch them. Cite your source in this case, please.
In the tagline of your post, please indicate whether your question deals with the movies or the books as there are many discrepancies.
The following areas are off limits for questions--questions pertaining directly to special features on the DVDs/Blu-Ray discs and the indexes in the back of Return of the King. If you own a copy of the actual LotR Trivial Pursuit Board Game and wish to ask a question directly from that (see below) the category "Making Movies" is a gray area, be careful.
Good Gaming and let's have fun!

Point for you! Movies.
Yep, exactly! Now typically you would post a question in return. Please do so when you log back in. Just to keep the ball rolling, I'll post another.

That's easy LOL
The Shire after he is revealed not to be Sharkey but in truth Saruman.
Keeping with that line of questions, Who is he Killed by?
And Wraithlander you can't answer this one as I'm pretty sure you know the answer .

Mind if I shove my way in here? (Sorry Wrath)
Easy! In both the books and the extended movies, he was stabbed and killed by Grima Wormtongue, before Grima in turn was killed...shot by hobbit arrows in the books, I think.
And I think I'll leave a relatively simple question in turn: What gift did Gimli the dwarf receive from Lady Galadriel during "The Two Towers". I don't think there was a difference between book and movie, but if there is, then I'm talking about according to the extended movie.
Bonus points if you can answer the exact number of the gift that was given.

Three Elves
3 rings were given to the elf immortal, wisest and fairest of all creature.
7 to the dwarf lords, great miners and craftmen of the mountain hall
and 9, nine rings were gifted to the race of men, who above all else desire power.
But they were all of them, deceived, for within these rings was bound the strength and will to govern each race.
In the land of mordor, in the fires of mount doom the dark lord sauron forged in secret a master ring to control all others. Into this ring he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life.
I know for certain that Galadriel and Cirdan were shown in the first movie in the begining but can't remember the third person's name...not sure if it counts as the answer....
If so here is my question:
Fill in the blank:

Errm, damn, dunno.
Damn, I have no idea. I'mm reposting your question at the end of this post so it still had yet to be answered, though. But to my own knowledge, the current bearers of the elven rings of power are Galadriel, with the ring of air (I can't for the love of me remember it's name), Elrond with the ring of water (same again) and...
Well I'm not sure myself, but from vague references in the Hobbit and when he fought the Balrog, it's implied that the third, the ring of flame, is held by Gandalf.
And the question that has yet to be answered... Fill in the blank.
