This is what happens when Pit, Grugg, and I spend too much time in chat. We were talking about Magic, and D&D, and Leroy Jenkins, and some how, i ended up riffing a Magic Card based on our friend Ody. Here it is for hime (and the whole inn) to see. 2-3 Gravy counters-Odyson Gains a furhter +2/+2 and Lifelink.
4+ Gravy counters-Odyson gains first stike.

Totem Armor-when this card would be destroyed, sacrifice one gravy counter instead. Odyson is taps if untapped, and does not untap on the controlling player's next untap phase.

This is awesome! You're missing the subtext though, something akin to "If a waitress ever asks if you want gravy on that, say yes."

But I never played any of the Magic Card based games so I don't fully get it.

I don't play the cards either but this just might enough to make me go read up on so I can defend myself.

I'd say if Ody gets tapped then the tapper takes a -2 hit of Old Froth-n-Slosh. There has to be some kind of PUN-ishment.

Ody, if a card is tapped, that means its being used. kinda like the card is the pipe that carries the frothnslosh (the mana) to the "TAP". When you "tap" a card you pay the mana cost to fuel the abilities of the tapped card.
