Heroes' Club - Tomorrow's Heroes
Pendragon Academy has a rich history. Established and headmastered by Edward Pendragon, son of King Arthur Pendragon, in Camelot City, Pendragon Academy has done its part in educating the young minds to rise to the occasion of becoming something even greater than the norm. Although their tagline is "School for Tomorrow's Heroes", Pendragon Academy is not just for the super-humanly abled, but aims to create heroes out of everybody for every field, from doctors to firemen to prime role-models.
Pendragon Academy does not only pride itself with rich and unique curriculum, but also with engaging club activities. Various clubs, such as the chess club, the book club, the many sports clubs, and the heroes' club, create unforgettable pastimes for students outside schooltime. Pendragon Academy prides itself with having a strong swimming team, one of Britain's strongest high-school football team, and a wrestling team in a league of their own. When the school will be allowed to compete in any of these events, Pendragon Academy will surely pride itself with many trophies from these events.
So why not sign up for Pendragon Academy today? You could be one of tomorrow's heroes!
Pendragon Academy is the only known school in the United Kingdom that can handle the powers of a young supreme (a super-human being or someone with super-human powers). Other schools are simply not built to handle everything a supreme could do, accidentally or otherwise, and Pendragon has many classes that you simply won't find elsewhere in Britain, such as Super-Weapon Designs or Transdimensional Studies. Better yet, Pendragon Academy is located on the outskirts of Camelot City, Britain's super-hero city.
Most of the students are young supremes themselves. Many of them are the children of the world's heroes, although a rare few are extra-terrestrial or -dimensional visitors, or technically not children at all since they're technically not alive.
The Heroes' Club is possibly the most popular club in school, but it is also the most difficult to get into. They hold tryouts every year. Some make the cut, but most of them won't. You are the rare few who made the cut this year, beating the near dangerous tests and winning against surprising odds.
The Club is supervised by a retired heroine, Mrs. Palmers, aka Crow. You are not alone in the Club, as there are others who've joined in the previous years. Henry Stuart, aka Jolt, club president; Brianna Walters, aka War Princess, daughter of two notable heroes in the city; Elena Starlight, aka Elfshot; and Magnus Milton, aka Mindmatter.
Normally, the Heroes' Club does training and minor assignments. When a number of students start disappearing, you just got your first assignment.
I've been bursting with anticipation to get a game of Mutants & Masterminds going for a while now. This is not my first attempt at getting a M&M game started here on the forum, and I doubt it will be my last.
If you know M&M, that's awesome, but it is not required (it's basically just a modified d20 system). I will be using 2nd edition for this game, all source-books are allowed from that edition (Hero High is specially recommended).
This is a PL 8 game, meaning you have 120 Power Points to create your characters. Your origin can be anything, from being a weird mutant to being a transfer student from across the galaxy. This is my own setting where more magic and fantasy can be found than in many other M&M settings.
You need to be interested and able to post fairly regularly. If you can post frequently, I won't mind if you post only a few lines at a time. If I can read it, I don't mind.
If you bring in characters that simply won't work for this game, namely one that simply won't be able to work with the other characters or overshadows them, I will ask you to either make a new one or tune him down. Hero High has some good examples of hero archtypes for the school setting. All characters must have 2 Complications. If they won't have them when the game starts, I will pick them at random.
Remember that this is a game where you play high-school students, not full-grown superheroes. Think X-Men or Teen Titans. This is a single adventure game, with the open possibility of continuing once that is finished.
Finally, if you are interested or have any questions, just post below.

I'll say I'm toying with the idea
I've pulled out the book and begun looking at character possibilities. I'm also considering my time.
Don't get discouraged!

Sure...
Everyone's welcome to join in, new and old
I would like you to post character concepts before you finish up your characters, so that I can sorta see what I am up against (and for the others to avoid creating identical characters). Also, it helps me knowing how many players I have for this game.
So, post them if you've got them

First character
Gamergirld20 just sent in her first draft of her character, so that's one out of minimum of 3. We now have a mystic in our group

hmm still...
Still only received one character concept so far. Should I assume that this game only has a single player? I think not!
Seriously though, guys. If you want to play, I need to know you have at least an idea of what your character is going to be like. I don't really care if you change it later on before play actually begins.

My thoughts
I'm looking at one of the following options:
A Psychic (Mental Blast, Teleport, Telekinesis, ESP, and other mind games)
A Super Ninja (Speed, Concealment, Strike, Chi, Deflect, and some cool devices)
An Elemental (Earth or Fire... typical stuff like Blast, Immunities, some Snazzy Movement, and some protection)
An Super Geek (Datalink, Quickness[Mental], Enhanced Intelligence, and GADGETS!)

Go with the super geek or psychic
I think teleporting while fighting would bring an interesting element to combat. oh and bump

hmm
Since he didn't post his character concept here, Shield Wolf is considering a ninja type teleporter character. Just something for the rest of you to consider.
This group might be in need of a powerhouse, so an Earth-type Elementalist might be a good idea. On the other hand, a super-genius is a good concept as well

thanks for the heads up
I shall limit myself to the Elemental or Super-Genius concepts.
Thanks!
