Sucker Punch the Movie

Ok thought I’d create a topic for a movie I’m going to be seeing on Tuesday which as the thread title states is called SUCKER PUNCH.

Now I have heard a lot of both good and bad comments from critics to your normal Joe Blo on the street on this flick but as a Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Action movie lover to me it looks “OutFingstanding” at least from the numerous trailers I have seen.

I mean come on this movie has it all Zombie Nazis, A fire breathing Red Dragon, A giant pink Rabbit faced Mech, Hot chicks with guns and Action up the ying yang .

So what I want from you my fellow Innmates is your opinion of the movie, without spoilers, ONLY if you have already seen it. Thanks for your time and comments..........

Ok

Saw it last night. I came out with mixed feelings.

Yes, it's action packed, and good if you aren't looking for a decent story. The visuals are stunning, all the way through, but there is so much action, and the set-up is so repetitive that it becomes a bit dull towards the end.
All in all, it pretends to be more than it has to offer, and by now we're used to better films by Zach Snyder.

The part with the Samurai and the clockwork nazis are awesome. After that I think they were trying too hard.

You should go see it, since it's worth the visit, in my opinion. It's just not as satisfactory as I thought it was going to be.

going

I will be going on Monday to see it in IMAX. A friend saw it friday and loved it.

I don't think this was suppose to be academy award winning stuff. It is a basic action/FX popcorn film and I love a good popcorn film.

And one more thing .....

Saw Sucker Punch last night. I really enjoyed the movie immensely - lots of action and special effects. It is a very dark movie, and violent and has no intention of being otherwise. It is not a movie that makes you feel good, happy and content, but rather makes you want to fight for all that you hold dear. I'd recommend it, but you will be unprepared.

Finally saw it

And I loved it!! Overall the movie was a blast and the Dragon was the best one I have seen on screen to date and it seemed so life like. Also as a fan of Battletech I have to say the Mech that Amber piloted in the WW1 scene was awesome .

However there was 1 part in the movie that did disappoint me and that unfortunatly was its ending. Not to give anything away but with all of the action and under current throughout the movie, I feel it ended poorly.

I can see the reason for the way it ended but still it could have been much better and much deeper in meaning.
Other then that it was a great flick and I say to everyone, if your in the mood for a mindless fun filled romp of fantasy, Sci-Fi and action go see it. As for me I for sure will be buying it on DVD when it is released....

well

I just got back from seeing it. Totally recommend. My wife and I had stupid huge ear-to-ear grins pretty much the entire first half of the movie. Everything you could want in a fanservice film.

But yea, the latter part really threw me for a loop. NOT what I was expecting. Best twist I've experienced in several years. Completely blindsided. Awesome. I happened to like the ending xD

If you liked Scott Pilgrim style gratuity, you'll love this.
