Audalis Dreaming
Okay, apparently I have let the beholder out of the bag. Yes I do intend on starting a low level Audalis game soon. It will be old school D&D (Osric now to some. 1e/2e to others). If you don't know the system, don't worry I do the rolling and I can help with characters. Posting once a week, you don't have to write shakespeare, just sensibly. This is a dungeon romp, so I plan to keep it simple but you should have a rough understanding of the Audalis world.
Your characters were escorting a caravan across Pardinal when beset upon by Cruniak, the scourge of Audalis. You survived and get to your destination but now the mayor of Sundel is posting a huge reward for any adventurers who will go forth into the wild and kill off this threat to trade. Winter is coming and no one wants the Cruniak to be breeding all winter.
Cruniak are an Audalis monster, not yet fully explored and this adventure (and the ones following, hopefully) are an exploration of the Cruniak. They are evil, cruel and malicious. They love to torture, rape, pillage, destroy and enjoy eating their prey alive. What you know is Crunaik have rough hides that bear a scale like appearance of molten grays and browns. Most are splotchy or bear some sort of pattern across the skin with ranging hues of their base color, but a rare few are solid in color. They have no hair, and no visible nostrils. Their faces are set and angry with little room for movement and their mouths are jagged slits filled with razor-like plates of teeth much like those of a shark. Their narrow eyes are usually yellow all the way across, though a few turn a milky white. Females are never seen and so far no scholar has survived an attempt to find about their mating practices. The Crunaik are a strong and fit people and their physiques tend to reflect that appearance. Standing upright they have broad shoulders and slim waists, giving them an athletic look. Their arms are, however, slightly oversized for their bodies, and their hands and toes end in short, rather blunt claws of jet black. All Crunaik have multiple scent glands. These glands present themselves as small tendrils that dangle from the chin and off the back of the head. The Crunaik often scar their flesh with ritual tattoos and sometimes, in the more ferocious tribes, they’ll even sear marks into their flesh with branding irons. Often, the symbol of their tribe is branded or tattooed into their forehead. The male Crunaik range in height from six foot to seven and a half feet in height and weigh in at anywhere between two hundred and twenty pounds to three hundred and ten. They use martial weapons and seem to prefer two handed weapons that do a lot of damage, but have used thrown missile weapons in your encounters (spears, javelins, rocks, dead bodies).
Characters will start off at 2nd level (by 1 xp only), no magic items at all. Pick one main weapon and one type of armour (chain or less) for free, and then you have 100 gp to equip (give or take, I don't intend to check everyone's math, just be reasonable). 86 pts to divide among stats with only one 18 and one 17 allowed. Like to keep classes to original books only but I will consider a kit with a good background. Audalis races only (no Brathunspar though).
I already have a Khord Cleric by Hammer.I would like a 6 player max. If you would like to see my style of gaming, look to the games thread "Contining where we last left off"

Consider this the equivalent of me camping in front of the ticket booth with my cooler and my sleeping bag, and a laptop. Now everyone can form a line right behind me.

Consider this me, wandering past the line drunk, wondering what they are lining up for but lacking the time to commit or otherwise be involved so continuing on drunkenly into the hills. Possibly to fight sheep.
CONSIDER THIS.

Winter is coming? Does this mean that you intend to mercilessly kill of your protagonists - specifically, the ones that we grow to love - ala "Song of Ice and Fire"?
So awesome to see Rogerius with a new game!

what is a kelden again? LOL
if you do not know the osric system, then give me stats and what you are looking as a character and I will assist.
Example: I want to player a warrior that is mostly archer but can still fight hand to hand. I'm think he was born as a bastard son to a lord who took him in but when the lord died the Lady of the house told him to leave or a hunting accident would happen.
BTW - if anyone wants a link to the 2e rules, email me. rbriant gmail.com

Kelden
Kelden: High in the Chakran Mountains dwells a race unlike any other in Antaron - the kelden. Possessing large, leathery wings that allow them to glide upon air currents, kelden are usually either loved or hated by members of other races who may come into contact with them. Their quiet, aloof personalities and alien appearance tend to set them apart, no matter where they might venture.

Interested
It sounds very interesting and I have been looking for another game to join; I would jump on this in a heart-beat but I dont know anything about any D&D systems. I wouldnt know where to start.
I would imagine a fighter type would be best as I wouldnt have to worry about magic.

RPN
I can assist in any character you wish to make RPN. Every party needs a strong toe to toe fighter.
So Far confirmed:
Hammer - Khord Cleric
Tann Talas - Sylvari Fighter/Thief
Tiamat - Kelden Mage
