Rememberance day

In flanders fields, french and english

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
John Mcrae, May 1915

Au champ d'honneur, les coquelicots
Sont parsemés de lot en lot
Auprès des croix; et dans l'espace
Les alouettes devenues lasses
Mêlent leurs chants au sifflement
Des obusiers. Nous sommes morts
Nous qui songions la veille encor'
À nos parents, à nos amis,
C'est nous qui reposons ici
Au champ d'honneur. À vous jeunes désabusés
À vous de porter l'oriflamme
Et de garder au fond de l'âme
Le goût de vivre en liberté.
Acceptez le défi, sinon
Les coquelicots se faneront

Im sorry for the disrespect I gave the last day to honour the dead;please forgive me. Going from that although skyrim is out , and I have a day from school, for Canadians this is the day we commemorate the brave ones who sacrificed themselves in WWII. I am sure in France, that sometime today, the service will be held at Vimy Ridge. I have walked the trenches, seen the grass covered holes that were blown out from the ground. As well some of the things uncovered from the site from soldiers. The monument itself is covered in names of the soldiers who gave themselves for Canada, and to stop the Axis from spreading in power. I am not asking you to be silent for a moment, nor am i commanding it, I am asking that we honour the ones you have in your life that are dear to you, friends, family, pets. Mayhaps not by salute, it is up to you how honour them, but a one way is to say "I love you". That is all.
