Just before Thanksgiving, my employer let me know that I was not in their future plans. They gave me a nice severence, but I was jobless right before the holidays.

Still am, actually - and my severence is about to run out. Fortunately, I have two interviews lined up for this week, plus a possible third.

At any rate, this has led to one of my patented, depression-filled, bury myself in work periods... which is why I have not been around. Sorry, folks.

I shall return.

I hate real life sometimes. Would be so nice if work and kids and the wife and the flus and whatnots wouldn't eat up my time so much.

In bthese times Rl is hitting a lo of people hard and games suffer for it. I have had problably 1 or of 5 in all my fames perhaps even more haace to drop out of games. nany with no jobs and losing internet. It is not a justifiable expense with food and shelter needs. Fortynately I am retired and my oension secure. Unless Herry Brown mucks up California any more than it is already, And he is trying to-- typical of a liberal left-leaning Demoncrats.

For me it is 24 hour a day car for my mother she is almost 97 healthy but hre memories are almost nil. She does not understand what is said to her though she can hear it makes no sense to herm dressing and feeding herslef is almost all gone. A friend came over to care for her this past weekend while I had to trailer my horse to stud farm a two day trip that lasted four. , Of couse my truck broke down and since only a dealer could fic it I had to wait to MOn to get new batteries whick had somehow totally drained. I say batteries because it is a 24 volt system on a medium duty truck Two patterices and labor were close to 600 dollars.

Asd will all rough patches, I hope that everyone gets through theirs as quickly as possible.

I will be thinking good thought and praising Olans to the ethers.

Been on several interviews. Had a company call me and say they really liked me, but were giving that position to someone else, but that they wanted to look at me for a different position. Have not heard back yet, however.

Had another job I was a superb fit for, had a great first and second interview, was expecting an offer... but it was contract to hire. I had agreed with the recruiter to be put in for the contract rate, but their perm rate was too low; apparently, the recruiter represented that I was fine with both rates. Now the recruiter is peeved with me, and I have not heard back from the job.

Did go on another interview today, seemed to go exceedingly well. If it works out, would be the very best position I have interviewed for, with one of the very best employers in the state. I should know within a couple of days if they want me back in.

Got my last severence check today, so am trying to fight off full blown panic.

I am crossing my fingers, crossing my eyes, crossing my legs but I can't get my tores to cooperated and stay crossed. Best Wishes and hope you get something good.

I have received an offer, looks like I start my new job on Monday. That's a load off.
