So I have been getting into music a lot more lately and I was curious what everyone else at the inn is in to. I personally prefer most styles of rock and metal but I like almost everything. Me and one of my best friends are actually considering starting a band. I play the drums and my friend plays guitar.

Anyways, my favorite band is Rise Against. But what I really made this thread to do was ask all of my Innmates' opinions. What music do you like and what artists/bands do you like?

I'd probably be the first person to admit I'm a metalhead. My favorite bands are Lamb of God, Iron Maiden, and Tool, but I can also enjoy blues, hard and light rock, indie and punk, and even some classical.

Now that is a subject I could probably talk you ear off if you let me. lol

Im into Metallica, Megadeth, Epica, Therion, Apocolyptica and many of the underground gothic metal bands.

I also play guitar. I know how to mix music and make decent vids if you ever want to collaborate on a song for youtube.

I won't toot my own horn so just read the comments in the entertainment forum here under my FADE TO BLACK thread.

bands-newsboys, skillet, Hillsong united, disciple, rush, petra, audio adreneline, michael W. smith, michael card...Oh and the arrogant worms (especially war of 1812)

Music... I'm all over the place where music is concerned (like a lot of the rest of you, it seems)... From classical stuff (realy like Mozart... always have) all the way on up to my "devil music" (as the wife jokingly refers to Disturbed and the like). Of all genres, I suppose, I'm least inclined towards gangster rap and 'twangy' country but, even at that, could probably be convinced to give a listen once in a (great) while.

Yeah, Dad got me into music when I was young, and around the same age, he got me into games :3 Now, alot of you know I love Sonic. I'm into most metal, rock, or game music. But I'll take a few pop songs now and then. I don't play any TRUE
instruments...yet.

Favorite artists:Crush 40, Metallica, Hatsune Miku, Three Days Grace, Weird Al Yanchovich, Michael Jackson, Linkin Park, Epica, Disturbed...and the list goes on.

I'm happily a metal-head, though I dabble with other sounds.

Growing up in a musical household helped with that; I was a band geek too...

anyway... check out Avantasia and Ayreon

I'm currently re-listening to my collection of their albums...


...mostly I don't want to rant about the various bands and their styles, aha... so I'll leave it there

I'm glad to see most everyone that has posted so far is pretty open-minded when it comes to music. Some of my favorite bands are Rise Against(my favorite favorite as I already said), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Green Day, Thin Lizzy, Skillet, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for my Valentine, and Pearl Jam. That is just SOME and that's a big SOME of the bands I like. Believe me if I listed all of them i would be typing until this time tomorrow, and I'm not sure that is a figure of speech. I only listed rock, and metal bands really and if I had listed other genres there'd be a lot more. Anyways, I came for everyone's opinions so I think that's enough of my long-winded post.

P.S: It'd be great to do a collab with you Tiamat just tell meh when!

*Stands on soapbox* When it comes to music, it's kinda hard for me like just one thing. However, my favorite genre of all time is Power metal with bands like Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, and BloodBound It's almost impossible to go wrong.

Though epicness is awesome you need more than just that. Some alternative Ie Rob Thomas, Keane, and Globus if you need that emotional feel without sounding whiney.

Maybe you just need some good time whatinanny. No specific genere: Meatloaf, LMFAO, or B-52s those are great for all that hootinots.

I could go on but I feel like you get my point. or you don't and I just made myself sound like a tool. Oh well

I will listen to almost anything, but right now I am addicted to Lecrae. Its uplifting to hear when you are stressed out. I mostly listen to rock and hard rock, whatever is on the radio usually.

i have no favorite type of music its not cause i dont like music its more cause i have a love for all types but if were splitting hairs then at the moment on my playlist of genres are grunge(pearl jam), death metal(dimmu borgir), and classical (its handel if you must know) it'll change up soon though
