Paranoia: Adventures in Clonesitting Q&A

This will be the Q&A thread for Paranoia: Adventures in Clonesitting.

I have made the intro post for the game itself; feel free to beginposting immediately.

All of you should have your character sheets, as well as information on secret societies and/or mutation, as is applicable.

Nobody has sent me any questions about their characters - or much of anything else, for that matter, so I assume that you don't have any? If you do, now is the time to ask!

post?

All right, now. Only half of you have posted. Don't make me wait.

Waiting = a bored GM.

Bored Paranoia GM = GM who maims clones for amusement.

cool!

Duly noted, Admiral. Not sure if Slipp will agree, though...

I have PMed our slow posting half to remind them to get going.

Going forward, here is the deal: I expect you to post at least once (if not twice) per week. More will be appreciated, but not required.

If you have any questions, I will never penalize you for asking them. If you are unsure about something, I will help as much as I can.

If you can't post, let me know. I may be inclined to overlook your slackerness if you have good reason (or at least the good manners to warn me of your absence).

If you go an entire week without posting or letting me know why, I will take one of two actions.

1. I will assume minimal actions on your part (you keep walking with the group, you mindlessly follow instructions).

2. I will assume that your character does nothing whatsoever. If you are in a firefight, you'll just stand there... too bad if you get shot. If you are in a negotiation, you will rudely ignore everyone... too bad if they take offense. If you are running for your life, you'll stop moving... too bad if you get run over/squashed/eaten.

Expect option two to be the one I use more often, since it amuses me to do so. I also reserve the right to use one more option in the event that you really slack off in your posting:

3. I will have your character take foolish risks, say stupid things, or follow insane actions - for the sole purpose of killing you in a painful, amusing fashion.

You have been warned!

Remember again that Paranoid is not about careful calculation and playing it safe. Paranoia is about wild plans and over the top drama. Amusing the GM may be rewarded. Boring the GM will be punished.

Have a nice day.

lasers

Nobody asked me about laser pistols, or why most of you have two laser barrels that match your security clearance. I suppose that it's because you all know Paranoia very well, and don't need to ask.

Just in case, however, you should know that laser pistol barrels act very much like an ammo supply. Each barrel is good for six presumably safe shots (assuming you have no amusing malfunctions). Barrels have six rings on them, each of which change color to indicate a use (in case your troubleshooter has trouble with simple memory tasks).

You may fire more than six shots with a given barrel, but note that every shot above six results in an ever-increasing chance of weapon malfunction.

Barrels coincide to the security clearance given to an ownr (you guys have red barrels). Reflec armor protects against lasers, and is designed to protect againt lasers of up to that color's security clearance (Yellow armor, for instance, protects against yellow, orange, and red lasers, but not green or blue).

You may use any barrel you come across, but of course doing so of a higher color than you have clearance is treason.

Have a nice day.

A good Article

I found this in my travels and it sums the paranoia game wrold up quite nicely. I have been informed that you are playing "classic" style.

sigh

Not even the first round of posting and I already have an issue. Riaucard has gone dark on me. My messages have been read, but not responded to.

I'm inclined to fry one clone, then grab a replacement player.
