RDINN Quilt? Would you contribute?
So I am a crafty individual. For a long time I've been wanting to hand embroider a quilt but can never find any patterns that catch my eye. Since I would be spending probably a year of my life bent over a hoop with needle in hand and possibly bleed over this, I'd like it to be something that I really care about.
Problem is I don't really care about much. Nothing that could translate into a quilt.
Then I stumbled into the Inn. When I log in and it says "You are here: Home" it doesn't just mean home page to me. Yeah I know I'm still new... but I honestly feel like I belong here. Anyway, sappiness aside, I have a query to put to you, Innmates. Would you like to help me make a quilt? All I require from you guys is artistic input, that is... the embroidery designs. I'd need twenty game or RDINN oriented simple embroiderable designs. They would essentially be little more than line drawings. They would have to be able to translate into 7" square blocks, but I would hand embroider them all and sew them into a quilt. I have no idea what I would do with the quilt when I finished. Maybe give it to a lucky Innmate.
Anyway, this is just an idea. If I can't get a few people willing to help with designs I'll just disregard, but I'd love it if I could get enough people interested.
Edit: Actually I'd only need 19 designs. Jozan has rightfully said that if I make a RDINN quilt the middle square is simply required to be the RDINN symbol. I just have to pull off embroidering it. XD

I vote...
Why not give it to the t_catt? It'd be really nice for a memento, and could be a 'thank you for the [site]'
As for the design, there's a few routes you could go.
You could make the panels like individual rooms in the inn, with people featured chatting/playing/dressed up as characters/fighting dragons/stealing treasure/stab the buddy...
The other route would be to make it kind of scroll like, where individual panels have a variety of scenes from various games... could have heartwarming scenes, combat scenes, other sorts of scenes. Maybe even make it a 'patchwork story', where you take the scenes from various games, insert say characters to make it contiguous between panels, and then make a story/myth with them.
The first idea focuses on the people, and the second idea focuses on the stories. Just a couple ideas from a butterfly.

Love the ideas...
But you far overestimate my meager abilities. I was thinking VERY simple designs. I'm not sure I could pull it off as either idea. Plus, the squares are only 7 inches. I would have to embroider VERY little to do people and combat scenes and such. I really wish I could. If this one goes well and I don't stab my fingers to catmeat doing this one I may try something more complex in the future. And I'd really love to have more of a...The best part of RDINN for each artist (or one artist several times if I can't con I mean... entice enough into it)
And I do think you're right that Giving the quilt to t_catt would really be the best option.

OORRR
You could make a batch of smaller ones and give one to each of us, the Staff
I'd love a small quilt with the Inn's logo on it.......

They're quilts not candy Tann. :P
I can't just make a batch of them. You're talking about a year of work per quilt. XD Maybe if you're good I'd embroider a pillowcase with the RDINN logo for you.
If I go telling you that I had better make a trip to Hobby Lobby... I have a feeling I won't get away with just one.

I could...
I'd just need an outline drawing. I do line embroidery, not machine picture embroidery. Actually doing some pillow cases would be good practice for quilt time...

Heeeeeyyy....
...niftilicious idea, K!
I'll see if I can't come up with something for you... I still have these "Frilly Panties of Confidence" so it shouldn't be too difficult to come up with something that I think would be fantastic, anyway, right? *winks*

I knew you'd be in on it Eol
Just so long as it's a simple OUTLINE line drawing. Whatever you come up with will be perfect I'm sure.
It has to be something that the color of the "lines" can convey the color of the whole, as there won't be any fill. Like these.

I'd like something about facelicks on there as well since that's a Inn essential.

May make bigger blocks
May do them larger so I could do more detail and I think it'd be cooler with A double sized block in the middle with the Inn's logo then a circle of Inn "staples" around it.

Bigger? My contract didn't say anything about this bigger you keep mentioning...
I think 7x7 might still be nice
'course, main thing I'm thinking about is that increasing the size of the logo could leave you with mismatched panels along the centre lines. Although, I could just be picturing it wrong...

Yes bigger
Like do it with a larger panel in the middle and then do the other arranged around it.
Lemme find an example.

Okay, ignore the fact that this is rabbits and imagine the big picture in the middle as the Inn logo and the weird... ball arrow things as "Inn staples" like... Don't Feed Grugg and Facelicks from Eol Maybe even a tribute to each staff member. Then the outer rabbit blocks as the room scenes you had suggested or something more Innmate/game oriented.
