Lack of games rant
Dagnabbit, I am getting sick of the lack of posting. I may do something really extreme, like start recruiting for a Star Trek game or something similarly crazy.
Or I might even get off my butt and get Zombies back.

QWERTY
I agree. The lack of gaming sucks.
Note to anybody thinking of running any game: I'm up for just about anything provided I can get a handle on it (unfortunaly I generaly don't like science-fantasy, if something is going to be sciency or sudo-sciency the sciency stuff needs to be substantual enough and not just "it works because it does")

Gerflufflesnorklibitz!
Trek?
Zombies?
The mention of either on their own does enough to get me all excited, boss... you really need to be careful about putting both ideas together in the same post, though, cuz just the idea of Mac mashing some maggot-farmers in the corridor of a Galaxy class sets me on a mad drooling frenzy... and I don't own this particular keyboard sooo...

Wow. A Trek/zombie crossover. Now THERE'S an idea!

Seriously. Now, you have my silly mind spinning about a Federation team racing against time to find a cure for a zombie infection, when said infection gets accidentally spread to the starship by a science/medical team member beaming up.
It's horrible, and yet, I can't seem to look away...

I know, right?
I can see it all now (as horrific as it is)...
Mac is stomping along Discovery's corridors when, suddenly, a screaming blue-suiter charges him from an intersecting passageway.
"Ach! Fer th' luv o' heather an' haggis! Ye eggheads jus' dinnae lairn, do ye?" The CTO takes the brunt of the charge, allowing himself to be borne to the ground, all the while smashing away at the blue-suiter's head with his coffee mug. "I told Doc White more'n once, an' I'll fargin' be tellin' yew jus' th' once; I dinnae need any fargin' blood pressure medication!!!"
Edit: DO IT!!!!

Zombies huh?
"Science officer's log, this latest specimen appears to be exhibiting conditions of which I cannot isolate the cause." Lt. Leiran notes, looking through her viser at the creature contained in stasis, "Ensign Ruea is communing with Aqua and Merrows but thus far they are not able to provide any additional information, and have not been able to help. My own experiments are limited, as we are not going to risk removing the stasis field in place. Work is slow, but there appears to be progress. I have identified that the functionality may be caused by a biological virus of some kind. Further information pending next studies."
On a side note, I have been playing a bit of star trek lately

well
Not sure new games are the solution. I have a game running, and it hardly gets posted to. It's just a really busy time of the year, I think. Maybe in a few weeks it will get better?

on the front line
"My phasers almost out of charge Doc, we may be overrun. Lt. Sloger is hit as well, good ol'Sloger, he got down a few 'imself...if only he weren't a red shirt." *blasts a few more down until his phaser stops working* "Sigh" *pulls out his knife and starts rushing in* "Hope I see ya leter Doc, if not, your doing a good job."

in an attempt
In an attempt to get away from Trek how about a Serenity/Firefly game?
It combines space with horrific monsterous oponents. Maybe a game set during the events of the fire-fly TV show when the protagonists are just making a living like Mel, or maybe a game based after the events of the Serenity movie when the protagonists go to Miranda to find out more about the reavers.
Just thought I'd say it. Cos I'd be up for a Serenity/Firefly game and I think that perticular take on the two alternate-earth and western generas is interesting.
(Reavers = sin evil people, humans twisted into bloody rage who will kill you, rape you, and eat your flesh... in that order if you are lucky)
