I have just had the great pleasure of watching the first episode of the all new series of Red Dwarf, Red Dwarf X (10). Anybody know knows anything about British comedy or sci-fi should know how big it is that Red Dwarf is back.
I can honestly say it wasn't a disappointment. It was good, not great but good. I suppose the highest praise it can get is that it didn't feel different, it felt like the same old Red Dwarf, which is fairly awesome if you consider the disappointment of Red Dwarf: Back to Earth and the fact that Red Dwarf VIII (8 ) was made in 1999.
May the Dwarf Reign supreme!

Huh...
...I sort of remember the US version (and the fact that it wasn't that great)... Never realized until this post, though, that it was adapted from a UK program. Interesting... Might have to look into that and see if I can find them, anywhere. US versions/adaptations of UK shows usually suck by comparison (see "The Office", "Coupling", et al) so I'd imagine I might actually enjoy Red Dwarf in it's "original presentation".
