Hey everyone!
I know I've been away a lot lately and coming back to just drop in a shameless plug of a post feels kinda bad, but truth be told, I've never left and you guys will never get rid of me! MUAHAHAH!!!
So onwards to the plug and it's level of shamelessness...
I'm a co-founder of an indie game dev company called Happy Hobgoblin based in the Northern city of Oulu, Finland. We are a startup in the business and have just about finished our first game, Nyheim.
And for any newbies out there I am also a member of the Staff here at the Inn and an innmate since 2001, I believe.
Our game Nyheim is a digital board game based in a post-pandemic world in which most of mankind has been wiped away by the extremely leathal disease. The same disease has also mutated the rat population and turned them into gigantic monsters that make the lives of the surviving humans even more difficult. No zombies here, mind you. We leave those buggers to Daryl.
The tone of the game is more on the positive side than dark and hopeless. The player is a survivor in the city of Nyheim and his task is to start rebuilding the society by finding more survivors, gathering equipment and food and building up their HQ little by little.
People are gone, the infrastructure is still there. The problem is that most of the people who knew how to operate the power plants, water supply, etc are dead. So the skills needed must be learned by the survivors.
There are quests to be completed, crises to be solved, rats to be fought and a city to be reborn.
Like said, the mobile version is almost done and out soon, but we are now gathering money via crowdfunding to enable the making of an even better and prettier version of Nyheim for PC.
So please head out to our Indiegogo -page, have a look, test the game and back us up so that we can bring the best possible PC version out on the market next Spring.

Thanks!
