Questions........

If a train leaves Boston at 8:15pm heading west at 85 mph and a train leave Chicago at 9:30 pm heading east at 97 mph how apples do I have?

-------------------------------
Oh... about the story.

OK. I posted that Lum used a marker to claim the cavern, was that a correct use?

Claim markers

Claim markers are for items you find, not areas. So Lum just claims the stairs. Not a bad find, steel is steel.

The problem with markers is they really only work if people care about agreed upon laws. If they don't they can just take whatever you have marked.

Thoughts

BooBoo - A couple of thoughts on Rhyson. I wouldn't say Rhyson is "extremely talkative" (Not your words in the post exactly, but I want to be clear.) It is more that he is generally open and friendly. He isn't the taciturn sort of adventurer you can find.

Also, don't take the "doesn't like taking orders" bit as "doesn't play well with others." Actually, he works very well with others as a group of equals. If the group decides, he'll follow orders. If the orders are smart, he'll follow them. Just don't expect him to follow orders because they are orders. Or, at least, don't expect him to be happy about it. He is smart enough to still do so when necessary. Most of the time.

As for killing with his magic - yes, he will. However, he isn't really a wild flame thrower. He would recognize in the bandits and vagabonds the outcasts of society and feel a bit of kinship towards. Well, maybe not kinship, but understanding. Killing is not his first choice. But he will if need be and I wouldn't be surprised if you had seen him do so over the last year. But also probably saw him hold his hand.

Nothing is wrong with your post - it can stay as is in regards to the elf. I just wanted to give a slightly fuller description of the wayward fellow

Rhyson

I'm not saying he is like that; it's just how 'she' sees it. Right or wrong, it is just what she thinks.

I'm sure others will have thoughts about her that aren't exactly true. But I'm sure she won't really care either way.

Taaa Daaa

Happy now Boo Boo

Background:
Tomiki Kenji was born an elf to a prominent elf family that did not want him, within a matter of hours he was left in an alley all alone. By fate or the gods some say he was found by a young woman. The human women feeling an immediate bond to the Elven child took him home to her family. Though at first hesitant, her determination to raise the elf child convinced her very traditional focused family to accept him as their own.

The first 20 years of his life from age 5 consisted of training in a stealthy style combat with weapons and in the art of not being seen. It was revealed to him during this time that the hesitation of taking him in to his new family was due to the family business of "Aslan" or the Art of Assassination. In the course of this new training He was taught the eighteen disciplines and though he studied each hard he was by far no master at any of the eighteen.

Bajutsu - horsemanship
Bōjutsu - stick and staff techniques
Bōryaku - tactics
Chi-mon - geography
Chōhō - espionage
Hensōjutsu - disguise and impersonation
Intonjutsu - escaping and concealment
Kayakujutsu - pyrotechnics
Kenjutsu - sword techniques
Kusarigamajutsu - kusarigama (chain-sickle) techniques
Naginatajutsu - naginata (polearm) techniques
Seishinteki kyōyō - spiritual refinement
Shinobi-iri - stealth and infiltration
Shurikenjutsu - throwing weapons techniques
Sōjutsu - spear techniques
Sui-ren - water training
Taijutsu - unarmed combat
Tenmon - meteorology

According to the father, they had served an emperor in the time before the dark and they continued the traditions for the day when they would be called to serve again. But there were still evil forces out there that sought to destroy all remaining traces of the traditions.

Then one day Tomiki was returning from an errand hen he was attacked by many men fighting in a similar style that he used. He managed to kill them all but as very badly wounded. BY sheer willpower he returned to his family to discover they had been attacked as well. All were slain, their bodies brutalized and left to rot in the sun. except for that of his human brother and sister. Tomiki buried the dead members of his family, Mother, Father, two uncles, a neighbor and his daughter. The daughter and Tomiki perhaps one day to have been married as both had feelings for the other. Taking up his father's red hilted Ninja-To Sword (precious item) along with his own Ninja-To he went in search of the two remaining human family he had left.

His search for his sibling has lead him to believe they are hiding in the rust waste. He joined Dwan's scouts to be able to move freely in the waste and to keep a livelihood as well.

HP and Death in TG

A long sword does 2d6 in this game. A short sword 1d6+2. Heavy Blaster pistol does 2d6, Regular blaster does 1d6+2 and a blaster rifle does 3d6.

This is to give you an idea of how much damage things do compared to the Hit points you have.

Melee - Fighting bonus to Hit, Strength Bonus to Damage

Missile - Accuracy to hit, Dexterity to damage

Blasters - Accuracy to hit, Perception to damage

Grenades - No bonuses as you don't need to be precise, it is based on difficulty of throw.

Death: When a character reaches 0 hp, they are dying (but not dead yet) - there are no negative HP in this game. Once you reach 0, you are considered unconscious and bleeding out. You have 2+CON rounds for someone to heal you or stim-pack you.You may survive one more round beyond that if you make a Willpower save but after that, you are dead.

Tann

Not really. :p

Can you tell us something about his mannerisms and behavior? Is he quiet, mysterious , keeps to himself or is he loud boisterous and opinionated? Looking for what kind of person he is and how he reacts in the team? That sort of stuff. Yeah history is cool but what kind of man has it caused him to become?

Bugs! I hate bugs!

Being bioengineered, these firebugs aren't natural so my character won't have any problem with watching these things be killed. Also being the healer, she will let the more combat inclined act first. Expect this in most combat situations, she isn't a coward just smart enough to know you don't let your healer run out there first.

Question about combat: how do you determine who goes first in actions? It it by post order? Curious. Also it could be important.
