In our re-launch, we have lost some players. If you'd like to assume an open role, please let me know!
-----------------------------------------------------------
After many months' absence from the Inn, the siren song of Trek has grown too strong for me to ignore... so here I am.
We had a great adventure planned for the USS Peregrine, but time and attrition ruined that mission for us. Even so, we've had some wonderful gaming on that ship. Rather than abandon her altogether, I've decided to write an epilogue/summation of what happened in the last mission, which includes some catastrophic losses. Basically, the ship herself suffered extensive damage, and many of her crew died in that mission. We have spent time in quarantine and drydock since, so others will have transferred off.
So when we start the next mission, there will be a significant number of new faces. This is your chance to get in from the (new) beginning - no need to write in awkward transfers or hand wave a reason to be here.
Commmander Drake will return as the CO of the ship.
Also reprising his role as CFCO /XO will be Lieutenant Commander Zai, played by Eol Fefalas.
Bromern Sal will return, though he will be assuming a new role ( Cheif Operations Officer).
Beyond that? You tell me!
We will need a Chief Engineer, for certain. We will need a Chief Tactical Officer, for certain. We can absolutely have a great game with those five roles filles.
However, we will also have room for a Scief Science Officer and a Chief Medical Officer (aka ship's doctor). Furthermore, Trek lends itself very well to large numbers of players - you can pick up a role as a junior officer or enlisted in ANY department.
---------------------------------------------------
Things to know:
Trek is moderated freeform. As the Captain, I lay out the big plot points and help keep the mission moving forward, but exactly what happens is ENTIRELY up to the players. Understand that you can NEVER put words in another character's mouth or make them do anything, but you can utilize NPCs as you see fit. This is basically a big collaborative writing process.
Expect to post once or twice per week. Again, this is collaborative creative writing - if you're not really into storytelling, sharing character thoughts and emotions, etc... if your idea of fun is collecting all the power and being the spotlight hero, this isn't the game for you.
For a great example of how the game works, please see Star Trek: Edge of Duty.
Note that all posts follow a given format. It takes some getting used to, but it makes the game so much more readable and helps the flow.
Note also that you don't have to be a Trek geek to be successful and have fun with us. If you condsider yourself even a causal fan of Star Trek, you can do this. We have a couple of geeks happy to help you with terminology/science/collaboration.
Interested? Let me know!

We are a happy Trill!
Although, that happiness may not translate to the next chapter... poor Asovil.

Hell maybe it's time to get off FB and back to the Inn.
Thank you Olan.
I have not been able to write story for over a year now. Major creative block.
I even dropped out of Albert's Trilogy game.
BUT if I do get inspiration back maybe not kill off John.
The last I remember he was on a shuttle between the two groups as the altercation was occurring. Good lord I just went and looked it up, that was July of 2018 in the Edge of Duty , does not seem that long.(I never got started in the next story.)
Hell maybe it's time to get off FB and back to the Inn.
Assistant Chief Tactical Officer, John Britt Reid, "Reporting for Duty".
Maybe he can finally get that promotion to "Chief Tactical Officer".
BTW you didn't kill him off last game did you?

Interest...
I could pull my CTO character over from the other Trek Game I was in that fizzled out. Or make a new character for that spot?
Heck, I could do your science officer, too. I have a couple of ideas bouncing around.
If you'll have me, that is!

As I told you via PM, Ody - you are welcome to reprise your role. I won't kill John off.
Ragnar, hit me up with your ideas!

Time line?
Last time I was in a Trek game is was ST: No Good Deed
I had a fun Chief Engineer that never got to leave dry dock. Where is this game in time in relation to that one?

Ah, she doth needle me over my shortcomings!
Totally fair.
We are in a very similar timeline. You could pull that character over here.
I can't seem to find the info on the character right off. Do you recall the name?

It was Commander Kennedy...
...if I recall correctly. Can't bring the first name to mind (cuz I'm old and mentally unstable) but I'm pretty sure Kennedy was the last name.
Hiiiiiii, Meri!!!

Bingo! I found her!
I can easily swap her into the Peregrine.
If she's a full Commander, we'd need to bump that down. This is a tiny ship; the CO is only a Commander. Our Chief Engineer would be a Lieutenant or Lt. Commander. Edit the background a bit to have her assigned here, and we're good to go, I'd say.
So... is this a yes, you are gonna play?

Stop begging already... ;)
Alright, you have a Chief Engineer. She'll take a demotion.
If you have her full char information could you PM it to me, I couldn't find my copy of her sheet anywhere. I reread some of what I posted before to get a handle on her, but still...
Be warned, though, she's a tough lady who isn't going to put up with any shenanigans in her engine room.

SWOOON
I have moved Cali to the Peregrine roster. www.rdinn.net/trek/roster.php?simid=16
She'll need some editing (retconning), but her rank is actually fine.
