are we waiting on you to post first. In lieu of nothing else, Rat is going to hold his breath, run and grab the satchel.

We do not know yet how to pull the elf back without succombing ourselves. If the breath-holding works .....
Comments all?

T'Sal...

She has done all she can at the moment. I think we need to get away from the tree and regroup a bit. Maybe I will be able to explain more if I regain my bearrings when we gain distance.

Rat

either because he has an old master, or because he is new at this, or because his boss is dense (or all three) does not understand. Are we not allowed to discuss the strategies on this thread, because of roll-playing if the warrior is "down"? Must we "save" the alluring T first, then talk? If so, I am understanding the rest of us have a choice of rescuing her, or doing something else.

If that is true, I recommend, a big guy or two (It will not be more than two, will it?) run and pull her back. Meanwhile, Rat still has an inkling, at the same time, to grab that satchel. (He hs been practicing holding his breath.)

Any other comments, corrections, suggestions for Rat or his old codger boss?

Rat

I am going on what the DM has told me on T'Sals condition. Because she is out of it I can't tell you what is affecting her until she gets her wits about her or the DM says it's fine to say.

Be careful as you run towards the tree things aren't always whet they seem.

Fetch, Rat, Fetch!

Well, It seems we have Rat fetching the bag, and at least a couple of us gettng T'Sal away from the tree. I think we have all pretty much declared intent at this point. Anivl's focus is 1. Get T'Sal back and healthy, and 2. Keep an eye on brave little halflings.

It is either a brave or foolish Rat that we have. Or both.

And the answer is . . . foolish!

Well, it is good that we have a little warning before the Rat is attacked. Run quickly little guy! And, at least, he is holding his breath.

A few thoughts:
1. The dogs don't seem of much use here and should probably just be ordered back.
2. Cover your mouths!
3. Anvil is going to keep his sword out - and approach the tree - staying out of range unless the Rat is seized. If the rat is seized it seems that a blade is likely to be the best way to cut him free.
4. Magic missile always hits - might it cut or at least weaken a noose should one claim our little firend?
5. Anybody have fire?

I will post something along these lines for Anvil. I believe Hammer is on vacation and not able to check the site regularily, but I'm certain he wouldn't sit back and do nothing. Any idea what he might/can do?

Precarious Rat

suggests that Hammer does exactly what Anvil does, except with a crossbow out. Hammer did say to direct him if he is not "on line" while he is in the states.

Somone, other than Darque or Consortium

needs to write something for Hammer. Captain?

Darque, I understand more, now, as to how this works. Thanks for the patience.

So far...

Besides Anvil thinking T'Sal is a guy it's going well.

On a side note how many times in a day can I cast Magic Missile?

Rat

is enjoying the adventure which seems well done even though he may not be enjoying the fix he is in.

I think you are doing great, Mr. Dungeonmaster.

study time

you will have to study to relearn magic missle after it has been cast but with your intelligence your only looking at about 4 to 5 hrs of undisturbed study time so it is possible for you to cast 2 maybe 3 times in a day if the conditions are right. You need to give Anvil a break though he's used to women with facial hair.

Give a poor Dwarf a break!

Come on, I'm trying to submit entries while running all over this summer. I'll be a bit more organized when fall hits. When I slow down I'll have time to notice the gender of various characters... In the meantime Anvil is a bit moe concerned with things like a noose getting around the neck of a poor little (male?) halfling!

As for the game - I'm enjoying it. We just need to avoid doing stupid things. As for the combat, I think its going well. Sometimes it is hard to know if you should post or wait for the DM, but that is just the nature of the beast. Goin' well.

Now lets see if the little Rat can escape. Anvil doesn't have much to do besides cheerleading until then.

As for Hammer - what spells does he have? My problem with acting for him is that blunt weapons,if that is what he has, seem unlikely to be fruitful against a plant. So, SD, what does our resident cleric have available?
