Really?! I'll have to think about it a moment, but I've never seen her as having anything too intricate--just some sharp ass knives that get the job done. I will say that i did give some thought into the one she let's Ch'dau keep. That one was her first, so while the blade is in excellent shape, the wrapping on the handle and the handle itself, with some fading elven design, would show a lot of wear and tear.

Her other normal dagger is basically just that. A normal long dagger to kill all the things swiftly and then tip toe away. "Balanced, as all things should be"

She does have a small spare like, shuriken in her boot, but that only comes out in dire situations

RE: Normal. Oh I know, normal is a construct, maaaaan. No one is normal. While Seuss is not my favorite human in the pack, I like that line he has about everyone being weird and we're all just trying to find people to fall in mutual weirdness with and call it love.

I've rather imagined at least one of Kith's daggers (perhaps even the one Ch'dau carries, now) to look something like this:

I like the handle of the first (though would need to be straight and not curved), and the blade of the second.

Now I've got a clear idea, so that's good... I hear my sketchbook calling and demanding a "group portrait" being attempted.

Do it! If you don't, I'll have to do it, and they will all be malnutritioned stick figures! Is THAT what you want for Ch'dau?!

Now that I'm thinking about it, I may do it anyway for the lulz, to be honest.

Any specific requests as to appearance and such?

Like would you prefer Kith being drawn with her hood up or down? Crouching or standing? Etc.

And for Ara, I'm assuming blade out, of course? Battle stance or just standing there?

Anyhoo... as I said... I'm doodling... will see what comes of it. Got a meeting in about 15 minutes but I can probably scribble through a decent bit of that.

If we're doing battle stances, hood up and in a semi-crouched position, daggies out.

If we're normal-stancing, hood down, high but loose and messy ponytail, standing up straight, maybe flipping a dagger around in the air, the other hand on a hilt. If not tossing a dagger, both hands on the hilts of her sheathed daggers.

Y'know? Maybe I'll do a couple of versions... One being in the standard "just standin' there lookin cool" vein and, the other, a more "action oriented" deal.

I will be drooling over both.

You all are spoiling me with these posts! I absolutely love every single one!

Got a couple of my own in mind - one from Ch'dau and another catching us up with Adedre - but I'm tinkering with the sketchbook, at the moment. I'll do some pondeering whilst I scribble, though, and see if I can't have one or both of them ready to go at some point tomorrow. Don't feel as if you have to wait for me, though.

No worries, as I said before, I have a supplmental back-background Kith post in the works too. Take your time. I'm looking forward to all the things!

Also looking forward to those sketches, take your time For me when I end up carving, there's times where it's just, pick up the knife and whoops seven hours have passed.

When I first read the name I just had that thought of, "ah, that's sort of similar to Kith! Cute," but I didn't think at all of it being purposeful until this last post and then my mind was a little blown by the realization 

Same here. I noticed the similarities in the names but thought it was purely coincidental until that last post. Nifty tie in!

...a couple of thoughts before I turn in:

• I don't imagine Ch'dau is going to awaken in the best of moods
  
  • He's been in those dungeons for who knows how long and, since he was first stuffed in that cage, this is probably the first sleep he's had in which he could stretch out.
  • He's pretty damaged and, likely, got a bit of PTSD (for lack of a better term).
  • Also, he likely wasn't fully coherent on the trip from Adedre's estae to the wine-merchant's cellar... more going on instinct and determination (not to mention assistance)... and, waking up in yet another "stone room" might be somewhat overwhelming.
• Given the above, when he does come to, there's a possibility that he'll lash out out of instinct or in reaction to the last thing(s) he remembers with any clarity.
• I'm also guessing that he's probably in much worse shape than Kith and, so, will be awake after she is but, there's also the possibility that he'll wake much sooner depending on what his dreams/nightmares might stir.

Sound reasonable to everyone or should I adjust a bit? Just sort of looking for opinions/options as how you both see things unfolding, here... Would you prefer to see an "early awakening" (and possibly a conversation with Ara while Kith sleeps) or, instead, a "late sleeping kitty" with a sudden, startled, WTF?
