Meant to ask...

Did Dapple see Char get injured?

yes

You would have seen Char's injuries.

Why? Is Dapple gonna sell popcorn? She wouldn't move to help Char would she?

First real chance to make money on this trip!

Just wanted to know what was possible for Dapple to observe. Char was closest to her relative position at start of combat.

Dapple's not going to get all warm and fuzzy any time soon

Mana and unconsciousness

Since my wife brought it up with me over dinner (yes, we be geeks) - the mana system I use means that mages do not automatically become useless after unconsciousness.

Instead, they lose mana at the rate of 5 points per round unconscious.

Also remember that even when out of mana a mage can still cast spells - at the cost of his or her hit points.

Yanamari

As you have no doubt seen, Yanamari has posted as Alloryn in CWWLLO.

This will be a joint effort between us, providing silver screen moments up to the arrival of the party in the keep, and perhaps beyond. Alloryn is intrinsic to the plot, so Yanamari agreed to take on a cameo role for me.

Please join me in welcoming her back to the CWWLLO stage.

Nice to have you back Yanamari.

Huzzah!

Welcome, Yana!

Also, thanks for the "insight" into the whole mana thing, Al... good info to know.

Thank you!

Most happy to return to play the part of that insipid noble. Ahhh how I missed Ally.

Cool Beans

Welcome Back Yana, Al never did mention, at least not to me, that you were Alloryn back then. Man I wish I had been here at the Inn to read the original game.

And Al please for the sake of my sanity stop with the big words. 'intrinsic' what the hell does 'intrinsic' mean anyway, ya got to remember I am a 40 year old male blond who has had brain surgery. Jesus can't you use easier words like Integral, Important or my favorite Wichtig.
geez louise.....

Welcome back Yanamari

As much as we understand that a poetic soul wanders where it will, we are always glad when you wander back to us, my dear friend. That you can join us once again as Alloryn is more good news!

I have also been reading the wonderful posts, and as much as my fingers itch to post more immediately, I have much on the work and personal front to catch up upon.

We need an emoticon that represents a cartwheel of delight...that's how this game makes me feel....WEEEEE!

Yay

Yana is baack! Yana is baack!! Oh how we've missed you, Lori!

And as FYI everyone: Kilgrim is not Kilgrim, he's K I L G I M !! See? No letter "r" in there?

And no, no offence taken for mistyping it. I like you all to much to care about such typos.

it's natural

You think dwarf, you think grim. I will try to remember to check my typos.

Wow. Everyone posted already. I guess that means I can move the story along by American Thanksgiving. So -- Thanks to everyone! One thing I am not clear on though is whether you will question the mantis mage or not (assuming someone has comprehend languages)? I am correct in assuming that you do plan to squish it in the end?

I love the posts after a battle when everyone breaks out the potions. It is like you went to a battle and a bar broke out - here, drink this, here drink this! It is funny from a editing perspective. I am going to assume that people will take the clerical healing offers before doing the dew. Just makes sense not to use up potions before you get to the main event.

Kilgim... no "r"... got it...

Sorry for the oversite, Pekka.

As far as the rest goes, if we want to question el magi cucaracha, Jal does have comprehend languanges and, yes, once we're done, let's squish the fragger! Or better yet... any body happen to pack a giant magnifying glass?

If the general concensus is...

All right, not to be difficult, but Char isn't one to take life unecessarily. Killing the bug after questioning him is against Char's ethos. I don't want to drag the game down with the ranger's objections so I'll probably have him suggest that they temporarily split the party to save time and remove him from the scenario. He can lead Dapple and maybe Kilgim (see the spelling?) to the local they will likely get described to them from the boys and while the dwarf puts their father to rest, Char and Dapple can gather what's needed from the home. That way you bloodthirsty types (*wink*) can question the buggar and then squash him without Char's interference.

To make things easier

Talas will kill the Bug mage.
I will put that into my next game post.
