Okay...

Nimu, I updated your sheet to reflect the collection of the Chain Shirt.

DM... why are you taking the gloves? You already have a pair of them...

And also, since you were all so good at getting your posts in early, I put another update up so you wouldn't have to wait another week.

Any questions, ask away.

Nimu...

Okay, I'm having one problem here... to quote the demand spell entry in the PHB:

This spell functions like sending but you can attach a suggestion...

And then to quote sending
You contact a particular creature with which you are familiar and send a short message.

And now, to quote dictionary.com:

Familiar:
1. commonly or generally known or seen: a familiar sight.
2. well-acquainted; thoroughly conversant: to be familiar with a subject.
3. informal; easygoing; unceremonious; unconstrained: to write in a familiar style.
4. closely intimate or personal: a familiar friend; to be on familiar terms.
5. unduly intimate; too personal; taking liberties; presuming: The duchess disliked familiar servants.

I don't know that you're very familiar with Nino. But, if you can provide justification, it'll fly.

Familiarity

I don't disagree that Nino is not well known to Selunine, but I would say she is familiar enough for the purposes of the spell.

Here's what I'm thinking:

Selunine has met Nino, they didn't just pass one another on the street. Selunine was in her presence for a decent amount of time. During that time she saw some of what the girl is capable of and also hit her with two of her own spells. All this happened very recently, it's not like years have passed.
From Sonia she has also acquired a bit of knowledge about the girl. Not to mention that she has Nino's mother under her dominate person spell.
Nino is more than just a name to Selunine - I would say she is familiar to her.

A note on familiar; the general use of the word denotes general not indepth knowledge and that is evidenced by the first line of the definition you provided.

Familiar:
1. commonly or generally known or seen: a familiar sight.
2. well-acquainted; thoroughly conversant: to be familiar with a subject.
3. informal; easygoing; unceremonious; unconstrained: to write in a familiar style.
4. closely intimate or personal: a familiar friend; to be on familiar terms.
5. unduly intimate; too personal; taking liberties; presuming: The duchess disliked familiar servants.

But let me know regardless.

Ademendum:
I just read this over and I think that came across a bit more pissy poo poo than intended. I had Selunine cast the spell because I felt she was sufficiently familiar with Nino. That being said I won't have a conniption fit if you ultimately decide otherwise.

Alright...

You know what, that's justified enough. Sure, it'll fly. Now, you better hope she fails her will save.

As for the pissy poo part... It's impossible to tell how a person sounds from over the internet. Whenever I'm reading, I always keep it in a neutral tone, with no anger or glee. It's all good.

From Wikipedia
An exclamation mark or exclamation point is a punctuation mark: ! It is usually used after an interjection or exclamation to indicate strong feelings or high volume, and often marks the end of a sentence.

The question mark (?), also known as an interrogation point, question point, query,[1] or eroteme, is a punctuation mark that replaces the period at the end of an interrogative sentence. It can also be used mid-sentence to mark a merely interrogative phrase, where it functions similarly to a comma, such as in the single sentence "Where shall we go? and what shall we do?", but this usage is increasingly rare. The question mark is not used for indirect questions. The question mark character is also often used in place of missing or unknown data.

Need i go on?

Just a little clarification...

Okay so as far as I understand the Dominate Person spell creates and telepathic bond between caster and thrall. Commands can be sent (and usually are) telepathically over any distance. (correct me if I'm wrong)

All of Selunine's commands to Sonia have been telepathic rather than spoken, which would mean that only Sonia and Selunine have been privy to Selunine's questions. I've italicized for this reason. Now if I didn't communicate that clearly in my posts let me know and I'll be sure to rectify that in future posts.

That being said I think it's safe to say that Trillion has been around Selunine long enough to develop suspicions that Selunine is keeping secrets. She just wouldn't have known exactly what Selunine just asked...

I'm just nit picking a bit (I need a hobby).

Okay, my ruling here...

Nimu, you're correct, the Dominate spell creates a telepathic bond between caster and target.

However, that bond need not always be followed... so while you may ask your questions telepathically, your thrall is answering them orally.

Hope this clears a few things up, and I'm glad you guys seem to be enjoying the game.

OK

I changed my post and maybe, since the italics do not really stand out you could change the color to purple or some other dark color. I could barely tell the difference between standard and italic type

Okee Dokee

That's all good by me, I actually was assuming Sonia was answering me orally (sorry for specifying that in my previous post). And Gboy, of course we're enjoying the game it's progressing most lovely.

DM, didn't realize you had posted when I put that up, we must have been posting simultaneously. Regardless I will specify telepathic communication more clearly in future posts, would black text work?

Telepathy Text

Okay, my post is up.
Selunine's telepathic communication is written in grey. I will make changes to my previous post for consistency. Let me know if this is clear, if not I'll change it.
Thanks!

Okay...

I don't have quite enough time to post the answer to all of your questions now Nimu, but I'm going to tell you this.

She was there a long time ago. That being said, her knowledge may be outdated in some areas. Don't worry if things don't match up... it's because she's not omniscient, and only knows what she knows, not how it is.
