Veterans day
I went to Fort Snelling last Saturday to vist my father's grave. He was an Air Force staff sergeant who fought in both the korean and vietnam war. He was only a comms guy and later a cook but that didn't stop him from having flashbacks when he heard helicopters. Unfortunately he lived in southern California
When got home I dug around in some the boxes in the basement and looked at his papers and found a paper he had wrote in college about religion. I broke down. He died in his sleep when i was six years old, from complications of diabetes...
A week before christmas too.. (No fooling)
A toast to my father :pours drink and raises glass: Allen J. Kohler of Albany, NY A father second to none. :slams drink then the bottle:

and all our veterans
::raises glass::
btw...EVERYONE in the military has an important job.
I know that around lunchtime on any given reserve weekend how grateful I am that someone is at the chow hall cooking up a hot lunch for my cold, hungry butt after being stuck on the flight line all morning.
ALL PRAISE the AF COOKS!!!

Yeah, thanks to all the vets (and current service members as well) here. You are appreciated. *raises a glass*
Fan, you do have lovely hair... and a pretty face. If you weren't so far away, and already attached to a guy I rather like, and a bit on the young side as I recall for the likes of me...
Last time I cried, and I hope you folks appreciate, because I generally try not to make a big production out of it, was last Friday night. Honestly, I have no more reason than that I missed my wife.

I'm crying again.
Those are soooo sweet. It's wonderful to see people who really care about their kids and spouses

(O) I raise my glass to you all. You have much better reasons than I.
The last time I cried was at about 1: 00 this morning having an argument with my husband over division of household chores. (but, I cry easily)

Violent housewives
Hey don't worry i do too. It is better than becoming violent and having a film at 11 about your exploits. And that's just as good a reason as any.

cry
I cry easily over certain things, and I'll freely admit it. There are a few surefire buttons to cause it, and Leah yelling at me for any reason is one of them. There's no shame.

major geek
I'll admit this even though it sounds geeky. Apollo 13 at the end when the guys are coming of the ship and tom hanks does a voiceover about their lives later on. My eyes get watery. Im such a geek.

songs
At my Wife's birthday party, my daughter was telling everyone about the soloist part she got in the school play - Oliver. Some people asks her to sing for them, which Veronica was hesitant to do but then did. Now I have hear her sing to herself most of her life. She sings quietly to herself so much that we often say she has a song in her heart and it has to get out.
But when she sang for real in front of us (Who Will Buy), my heart leaped and I cryed. Her voice is so beautiful and she has learned through choir and school musicals to reach the notes and hold them. I didn't realize how good of a singer she had become. It wasn't just that she was good, but there was such joy behind her voice. I was overwhelmed.

And if people wait a couple of months there will be plenty in the stores at 700 a crack, which is what Sony wanted in the first place.
