Dominos

Whoops. Sorry about that, Nomad. Guess I didn't write that very well. Just going up by myself was my intent; then having Gronz and I assist you up to the top.

Additionally, tying it (wrapping it) around the waist seemed like the easiest and fastest way to get that rope to the top.

Nomad's answers

It is possible. You would have to make a concentration check to cast, and you risk falling.

For obscuring mist, it would amke the climb more difficult due to not being able to really see very well. However, after 1 round the mist would sink to lower on the mountain.

The fact that you are looking straight up at them at an unknown distance makes their size uncertain. You can guess that they are at least medium size.

Also a note: the climb has been slow and tough. Exhausting is probably a good word. But I didn't want to put too much emphasis on it since you guys seemed anxious for the next action sequence.

Apologies

I just want to apologize for the fact that my updates have been less than regular. RL is running away with me. I will get one in ASAP (likely tomorrow) for your roleplaying enjoyment.

Gah!

Shield ~ what should we do? Do we pull them up, or let them climb up on their own and attack the wyverns? I don't think I'll be strong enough on my own to haul them up.

plan

I'm all for attempting to pull the others up, we stand a greater chance of putting up a decent fight if half the team isn't still hanging onto cliff walls instead of fighting.

However, I'm not sure that the Half-Orc has that kinda planning capability, nor the sense of loyalty to help the others when his own life is on the line... soooo, it would seem that I am at a bit of a mental stalemate... Not sure what to do.

Lets do something

Well, I think Gronz would want to do whatever increases his chances of survival - which may well be not taking onthe wyverns by himself. So you can choose either, I think.

Also, I don't think the climbers need to be "pulled up" - we need a stable rope to help us climb faster. One person may well be able to do that. Or perhaps there is something to quickly tie the rope to? I don't remember the description - and it might not be worth the time to look. One person distracting the beasties might not be a bad idea.

Distraction?

I'm on it. I'll see what I can pull out of my hat. *winks*

I'm horribly busy today, but I can post Friday.

Description

The plateau you are on is approximately 15' square. There are small rocks, even some slightly bigger ones about the size of the hald-orc's head or torso, but nothing that seems it would be suitable to tie the rope off to safely.

Crap

Yeah, crap just about covers it. Anybody have any great ideas? Or even marginally useful ideas? Bad ideas?

The problem with catching a tiger by the tail is that you don't dare let go . . .

anyone got a lasso?

er... let me know what you think of this. ^_^

Plan of Action:
If she can let go safely, that is to say, if wyvern has flown to the top of the whole cliff or if there is a big enough opening on our ledge, Raina will let go. (I’m not sure where they are / how high up they are in relation to everything else) If not, she’ll maintain her grip and deflect any blows that the wyvern may throw her way but not kill him. That… would be bad. If there is an opening, heck, she’ll try to scramble onto the back of the wyvern, but I don’t know how that would work out (see wyvern being squirrelly and her loosing grip). At any rate, that’s my plan of action. Let me know if you have any questions!
