I'm still here
I'm going to be sticking around for quite some time, and while I might be busy some of the time with life and whatnot i'll probably be able to regularly check on the game and whats going on it.

HEY!
Yea... I'm still here... I think... though sometimes I debate it. Am I truly here, or is this just a figment of my imagination or a dream? hmm....
Also a few things I would like to mention prior to the next scenerio.
1) There will be things happening behind the scenes. I will be sending PMs to individual people if your character notices something or if your new instructor has a tip or piece of advice for your character alone in the middle of the scenerio. These messages will likely have both an in character and an out of character part to them. And don't feel left out if you don't get one. The instructor can only council so many characters at once.
2) Combat and tactics... during the course of these lessons you will be forced to come up against creatures that you can ONLY defeat if you utilize the skills of the party and any tactical advantage you can, and not act as a number of individuals (as we have thus far). This will likely NOT be the case in the first few scenerios, but I'm hoping this will be going on for quite a while, so I'm just offering a heads up.
3) The point of this whole excercise is to help people get used to the rules of D&D 3.5E (particularly combat rules in my case) and the whole play by post thing. However, if people are not having fun, then the game might as well not happen. So, if the actions of one or a group of characters begin negatively impacting the fun that they other players are having, the situation will be remedied. In some cases, I don't care if it is in character or not (as Meri said, some falls on the characters, more falls on the players). Just a fair warning. (Yes this includes me, though I will likely be reprimanded by Meri if this is the case.)
4) As Meri suggested, you should feel free to discuss and coordinate in the Q&A thread prior to posting in the game thread. It may seem like a bother, but it can help immensely at times.
With all of that being said, I look forward to seeing what happens next. We shall soon see if you will as well...

Wow!
So it looks like we are down to three players at the moment, but... such lovely RP you have going on between the three of you!
I'm impressed, very impressed indeed! I just hope I don't have to mop up blood in the kitchen here soon...
Keep up the good work. I know Steelight is desperatly waiting for you to show up in the woods, but this RP you guys have going on is making the delay worth it.

Don't worry Steelight
There shouldn't be any blood to mop up in the kitchen...Hopefully
We should be getting to the forest soon Steelight, we just need a bit to prepare for whatever you have to throw at us and if we can get in some good RP too, then even better

Take your time
I am excited to see how you guys do, but the RP stuff is important too. And a lot of this tension between the members of the group will have to be at least partially resolved of your new instructor will... let's just say he won't be very happy. But the interaction is great. Though I must admit I'm having trouble not saying anything at times.

Blood? What? *hides knife*
No, no need for a mop here.
Just hope everyone understands, the comments Zeph makes are completely in character, I mean no offense to any other player by insulting character race, class, or any other aspent there of. Zeph is just an ugly evil little bigot with a lot of hate in his heart. So please don't take anything personally, and lets just have fun.
I find it almost funny though how it was suggested that the evil druid prepare healing spells. Especially since he's only capable of the lower level spells, has few bonus spells, and really isn't all that willing to offer an elf the grace of a mercy killing much less a healing spell. The one healing spell he usually has prepared is generally reserved for Sintan should she need healing.
And yes, I understand that his way of thinking is counter productive when trying to work in a team, but please just try to understand that this is the character, and its going to take him some time to warm up to anyone, especially an Elf-kin. As he grows and matures his personality may change and things may flow in a more team friendly manner.

blood... and no healing... great dynamic.
Soo... the group officially has no healer whatsoever. That is definitely possible to survive, I would just advise everyone in the group to keep that in mind when determining actions in the future.
Just a tip. Take it or leave it.

Well, if we're getting technical here..
The group never had a healer, Zeph is not a caster, he was not built as a caster, and his stats are not arranged to be even remotely useful as a caster. He is first and foremost a rogue at this point, the druid is for the eventual access to Wild Shape and the added damage capability of having a wolf since his BAB progression is still zero.
And let me also point out that he never made any indication as to what kind of magic he could cast, only that he could cast a little bit. For all either of the Elves actually know he's a sorceror with a wolf familiar, or an advanced Ranger.

Medic!
We need a mecic or healer. We may be able to get by without one, but very unlikely. I'm not suggesting it be Zeph either.
Also, I wish we weren't the only ones active. Ion, Levanna, and Briar have been out for a while. I think things would be easier and more fun that way.
I think for now..it may be best for Darkon to be a front line character, Zeph to be the sneak attack and druid support. Kiirnon will take a archer role to start off in the battles and assist in melee when combat gets too close. That is the only thing I can come up with with just the three of us.
Also, no offense taken from Zeph. I understand he is a mean little bugger. However, Kiirnon will be trying to make friends with him, and everyone else.

Shielf Wolf
I'm sure you know very well that sorcerers cannot have wolf familiars, and by the attitude Zeph has presented thus far (the isolationist hate of everyone) I believe it would be a fair assumption that he hasn't been at the school very long (and thus is not an advanced ranger). Having a powerful animal (such as a wolf) by your side virtually screams druid, for anyone who might take even a second to consider it. Even in character for these players, the way you describe your relationship with your wolf, it would be difficult to assume anything different.
Also bear in mind that the purpose of the game is for new people to learn, so there may be some who have difficulty seperating what they know from what their characters know, and knowing you are a druid (since the character sheets are posted) it biases them (and therefore their characters) to make that assumption. Whether they know what a druid is capable of or not is another issue entirely.
There! I got to say something! HAH! I feel better now. And thanks for pushing a bit to get the game moving forward. Although we are having a lot of conversation and at least 3 reliable posters, the game has sort of stagnated.

Details details...
Students do not die during training. Prof. O'Leary can be a stickler for rules at times but she will simply not allow students to stop paying tuition due to death.
That would be something most of you would know.
There are 'medics' available on an as needed basis, provided by the school. Although that does not give you free reign to go crazy and kamakazi or anything...
And I guess I should also note that the medic will likely remove the player from the training field... so there is no 'I get healed and then make an attack.' It would be more like 'I get carried off the field on a stretcher, healed and then sent back two rounds later (if at all)' if the healing comes via a medic.
Think of them as Civil War era field doctors... not regular D&D healers
