?

The guards are waiting to return them to their captivators? What, they were captured by extremely charismatic story tellers? Hmm?

How wide is the alley?

I'm not sure if I missed it in your description, but how wide is the alley? Is there enough space for a number of us to attack ninja-man in melee combat at the same time?
Thanks!

EDIT: A couple more questions...
1) Can someone still try to demoralize a foe, if said foe is engaged in melee combat already?

2) As a free action, is Skit able to see if the two swords that Ninja-man is holding are similiar to the two pieces of metal currently stuck in the sand?

Thanks!

1) The alley is about 10 feet wide.

2) You can try to demoralize, but you have to get the target's attention. If you are currently in melee combat with them it will depend on the situation. If you have enough of their attention I would allow it. But if your opponent is defending against 4 people, they are probably concentrating too much on dodging and striking to worry about you being intimidating.

3) The swords are... swords... The flashes of metal look like small points of metal now sticking up from the sand... be careful not to step on them...

OMG

Its a ninja attack! No story is complete without one.

Would have said this right after reading the text, but I did not want to miss identify our enemy. Since Ayrn was 'bold' enough to say ninja-man, I feel the need to let out my inner voice... well, at least one of my inner voices. :p

One more question

Can Skit move and pick up the blades Ninja-man threw (without cutting himself) and throw atleast one of them back at said Ninja-man within one round?

how far away to the side is the new opponent? Uthgar will run in while drawing his other sword and attack, but only if the other is in range, otherwise he will just take a double move action to get to him. I am also wondering: did Uthgar get an AoO? I have not really grasped what the initiative was like, but it seemed Uthgar was going first and had a weapon drawn... just wondering OOC.

Uthgar is about 15' from the guy. He did get an attack of opportunity, but the attack missed, so I didn't include it... though I suppose I could have.

Ayrn - Skit is capable, but if you assume the ninja-man idea and the metal things were shuriken, you would have a non-proficiency penalty in throwing them back (as well as potential missile weapon into melee penalties depending on how combat goes).

As far as initiative... It's a mechanic I intentionally don't make all that plain since really everything is happening at the same time. But, the order that people are mentioned int he post is the initiative order.

So in this case, Uthgar, your attacker, Thiferl, Echo, slaves.

Clarification

Did White Blade run off? or did he just back up? Are we still in combat?

Still here

He backed against a wall on one side of the alleyway. He is most definitely still present.
