Yeah, I'll spend one.
I'm looking to spend one plot point as far as a Sense Motive check is concerned. Don't want to run my crew into something we can't handle.

Wyatt - You sense that Griffith is being honest with you as to his intent. No doubt the debt that he owes you has hung on his conscience for awhile. (More on that in a upcoming email) You do not think he is trying to deceive you. Give yours a plot point for use of Superstitious.
Asher - Nice rolls. Take 2 plot points for the Extraordinary Success
Willow - Tough crowd. Minor success with Zee.
Dash - Damn that Coat check girl was hot. Now what was I thinking about again?
Kora - you didn't get far enough to draw your knife. You realize that your tattoo (branded comp) has scared this guy, and can use it to your advantage.

suggestion
when using chinese phrases...could we get the meaning in parentheses beside it please?
I'm not 'fluent' yet and it takes a while to look them up I'm also lazy

I had thought about that
First off, you do not have to use chinese if you don't want to. It does add flavour but some of us are geeking out on it. Let's face it, we all wanted a secret language when we were younger so our parents wouldn't know what we were talking about (not that they did when we spoke english).
Cathy asked the same of me, and I have been translating verbally to her. I wasn't going to at first because in the TV show and the movie, no translations are given. However, you have body language to view.
So I will translate from here on and ask others to do so. Remember that some times the translations are not "perfect" and may seem a bit funny.
Note - I added translations to my last post

So... this PG thingy we got goin on
While I am so fine with this being PG and all, I'm curious as to what to post next for Asher... (beyond "Yippee Kiyea!")
Am I waiting on Sam & Sung to conclude their business and that will be Asher's cue to conclude his business?
Where does Beth take the Kid? Is it a private room? Or just tucked around the corner of the coat check?
If I want to take the pretty girl out and show her even more of a good time... what's available in the nearby surroundin' area? (restaurants and shopping... would hate to spoil Beth's "dream boy"... besides... Asher is sort of a gentleman... or, at least, gentleboy.)
Thanks a bunch!

Wha'd she say?
Translations? Whaddya need translations for? We're all chinese here, ain't we? I'm all for it, I suppose... translating most of Sam's chinese may break the PG ranking we've got going here, though.
Anyhoo... it looks like my connectivity issues at work have been resolved. With any luck I'll get my at home issues squared away this evening and I'll be able to post something substantial soon.
Blammm - as far as playin' grab-a$$ with Beth goes, you cna hint and allude without gettin' too awful detailed, I reckon. Nothin' X-rated about "squeakin' bedsprings" as long as ya don't see what's squeakin' 'em, right?

good point Eol
about the PG thing and Chinese.
How 'bout just paraphrasing then? That's probably what Al was thinking anyway. I'm "quick" enough to get hidden meanings

PG thing
Now you see, both Beth and I assumed you were after one thing. As to what to post, if you had other intentions, please go for it. The "private" room in the back is a basic drywalled 5 x5 room with a wooden frame bed and a very stained mattress. This ain't no Hilton, although it may remind you of Paris.
As to shopping or restaurants, yes definitely. You will have a low chance of knowing where though, but you do know that Willow seems to knows every "fancy" (read - clean tables and napkins - oh my)place in the verse. You could always ask her.
BTW - should we put in time index like we did in Star Trek? Just to keep the when's and where's flowing? It is mid afternoon right now in the game.
As to PG and translations, there are always options like Hump, ruttin and if all else fails asterisks. What I meant with the PG reference was I am not writing in sex scenes. If sex be having, we are cutting to the train entering the tunnel. Get me?

AL
that was really bad...but funny
okie dokie. no sex scenes...just innuendos.
Good luck with that Willow
Date and time would be a good idea. My vote is "make it so"

Hey, the show was on Fox!
And they had a real Companion! I'm not worried Just means the camera wanders off when things get steamy, hehe.
As for the Chinese, was thinking of posting common expressions when I get a chance to write them up. I know a few Cantonese phrases, as well as the Mandarin quoted in the reference materials, so was going to add them for flavor (for all our Chinese friends, my apologies in advance...I learned the words phonetically, so my accent is funny )
Lai - you
Lai dai - you plural (like y'all )
Josan - good day (greeting)
Lai ho ma - How are you
Gong Hay Fat Choi - Happy (Chinese) New Year
Joss - Luck (yes, Joss Whedon changed his name from Josh to "luck")
dim sum - literally "little meats" - meal of many small dishes, hence my knowing the following:
bao - dumpling
hargow - shrimp dumpling
Ta sieu bao - bbq pork dumpling
Sieu mei - pork dumpling (my favorite!)
congee - rice soup

btw...Celedwe speaks Mandarin so we can always ask her to translate if we have a phrase we would like to use.

Communications Challenged?
Y'know, I just realized that none of us thought to take any comm's along with us... Did we even buy any? I know Sam didn't...
I don't know that it'll really have any bearing but, considering the circumstances, we might end up wishing we were a bit more "connected" when we ain't huddled up on Rocinante... *shrugs*

Not that much of an ogre
I would assume that you are carrying some form of comm unit whenever you leave the ship, unless you say otherwise. It doesn't make sense, and as a group that has been around the planet a few times - you don't want to be caught unaware.
You also know that calling Trish is a one-sided conversation.
