Back tracking questions

Two other questions from the firebeetles.

1. The bag that was stuck to the firebeetle- did we have any guess about how long it had been there? I think it was stuck on with blood and such. Any guesses?
2. Fire beetles. How long do they live? Would we have any guesses as to how long they could stand guard without, say starving, or whatever?

answers

1. You would guess that the bag was stuck on the leg for awhile, but not years.
2. It is hard to say how long Fire beetles live as they were used in the chaos wars a hundred years ago and there are still a few wandering around to hear people talk about them

Cantrips................

I hadn't thought of this before but do our magic users have things like cantrips available that don't cost spells? My thought was that one of them could use a simple "Clean" cantrip to clean the windows so we can see what is on the other side. We still have time for that before we go over the mound of debris. There may be something worth investigating.

Cleaning

To answer your question Ody ...

As a spellcaster Rhyson was not given any cantrips. There are different levels, but nothing that really qualifies as a cantrip. Nor does Rhyson have any other spells that mean "clean."

When we first entered the hallway Rhys examined the window carefully. I believe the dirt and grime were on the other side. We could break one, although I don't know how wise that would be. It probably wouldn't be my first choice, at least before we examine the rest of the passage. But it is an option.

yes you did lightly tossed

There was a 1-6 chance you would set off the alarms if you disturbed the pile. Best to get it over with sooner than later?

Guard Cats????

Well have we come across these before? Roll as needed.

Do we knowledge of these and how to fight them? Roll as needed.

Will they take blaster damage?

Do they look fully charged or do they look rundown, like there batteries might be old?

No

Do we knowledge of these and how to fight them? Roll as needed.
Not specifically. Blast the bejeezus out of them or the pointy end goes first?

Will they take blaster damage?
Don't know - why don't you ask them?

Do they look fully charged or do they look rundown, like there batteries might be old?
They are glowing bright like a christmas tree.

but 1st

Can we get a representation of where we are and where the bots are currently? A crude map maybe would help. I've kind of lost track of where everyone is at the moment.

Stupid computers

Get stuff typed up and then it just disappears.

Ok, to repeat everything I already typed . . . . Rhyson does have the chain lightning spell. Effective and would hit both on this side. But it costs a lot of spell points. He also has a shock jolt spell which will hit anything within a 6 yard by 6 yard area - maybe both depending on the forthcoming map. But it doesn't hit as hard. How tough are a group of little kitty cats? I wouldn't think they are as tough as a couple of VW sized beetles, but you never know. The image doesn't exactly make them look like they want a scratch behind the ears.

I'm inclined to start with shock jolt, but I'd like to hear from others what you think would be good. Also, I'm assuming Rhyson will try to hit both on this side of the pile. Do we worry about the other two right away?
