delayed post

Sorry for the delay guys. I didn't want to be the first to post again, but when Ayrn posted, I ran into another hitch. I spent ALL week working on a character for my table-top game which promises to be the most difficult I've ever been in. I should be able to post while in game tomorrow. Worst case, Sunday.

the map

Alright, I've added a map to my information post, under the Character Sheets. This is a map of the main streets in Drefast. The small alleys and side streets are not included, and don't really matter that much either. If there is anything you'd like to know, ask me, and I'll place it on the map.

Hey! I posted!

I'll likely not get another post in until next week. Tuesday or Wednesday probably.

If anyone has any other contacts in the city, or any favours they can call in... that would be cool.

Nice with the map idea, Sui.

alright

I've added the points of interest on the map, and I'll upload it to replace the older one.

will

I'll put the Broken Grommel on the map as well then, though on this scale it will appear very close to the Orphanage, which is why I never included it yet.

Also, I've edited my last post, and added the following to the top:

The Broken Grommel
6 days left
~Positive Tide is normal
~Negative Tide is rising

From now on, my updates will give you:
-The place where you currently are in the city
-How many days you have left before Judgement Day
-The Tides of magic, both Positive and Negative (you can look up the effects they have on your magic or magic of opponents in my post on page 1 of this Q/A, right above the map)

I will not start puting up the exact time of day in this game. Occasionally something will be added in my posts like: at midday they arrived at... etc. That's basically all you're getting, to keep everybody from complaining too much if I counted 3 minutes too many for a walk down some street.

Yes, you're on a tight schedule... well, actually, that depends on how you handle things. I'm not saying this adventure will end in 6 days of IC time. If you guys can figure everything out within 4, then you'll all get a nice bonus!

we need to think of where to go next. That can be in character or here in the Q/A, if you like. But I need something in order to update you guys. Right now it's getting closer to midday, so there is a lot of time left in this day to get places

Plan of attack

Here's my preferred route around town:

Visit the Bakery, pick up lunch and see if our connection there has any more leads, or can connect us with those siblings whose whereabouts are unknown

Visit Courthouse, locate the Counselor... or one of his lackeys to ask a few questions. I actually think approaching the Counselor may be a bad idea, and may get us into trouble. (especially if Percy decides make a called shot for his heart )

Visit Barracks, find our connection there and see if he has any leads, or connect us with those siblings whose whereabouts are currently unknown

Visit the Heart of Darkness. I think I'll want to have Pio pick up a change of clothes/ armor though before we enter. I think the idea of walking into some den of thieves wearing full breastplate armor might attract too much attention. So we may have to stop and do some quick shopping along the way and stop by the orphanage before heading to Heart of Darkness so Pio can change.

Sound like plan? Other ideas? Please post...

Ayrn

Hey! Great post!

Nice posts, all! Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading the bar and the bakery scene so far!

I'm here. I'm watching our four kids for the next two days, so if there is a lull in the afternoon, I work up a post, or I'll look to post tonight.

I don't have too much to add though, so DM, feel free to update.

Probably not this afternoon.

I'll try to post tonight... though if someone wants to ask the good baker if he happens to know where we might find some of our other siblings whose whereabouts are currently unknown to us, that would be cool.

hehe

I hope nobody minds that I'm updating a lot. I have the time and motivation for it, so if I'm skipping over things, let me know, or backpost if you haven't done your thing.

I feel like we're getting to the pace that was intended for this adventure though, and it's keeping things speedy and you're getting leads this way. Keep up the good work!

I've given those of you who have been active a little bonus XP. I don't know if we are even reaching a higher level in this adventure. It IS possible though, so I'm counting anyway.

I didn't include it in my post, but...

I think we should come back to Goddfrey later on... either today or tomorrow and ask if we can deliver/ serve up those pastries at the courthouse for him. I think it will be our "in" to get a word with Velch... or at least listen in on some great conversation.

We should probably try to NOT make a scene at the courthouse today then either... so that noone is on to us on Thirkday when we go in all "Ocean's Eleven" like...

Behave yourself, Percy!

Just kidding, Sui! You all rock! Play your characters as you are, and I'm sure this will be a rocking adventure!
