Activity.....
Looks like we have an audience for the story again.
Just shows folk like Rogers stuff.
It would sweet to have Eol stay even a new character.
If Ash doesn't survive can I try another character? But I'd really like to have Asher survive.

Love the Activity
More movement on the thread that a Reaver in a Lovebot Factory! Woohoo! I love it.
Robert is joining you for the next adventure as a passenger. Ash has survived a lot in this campaign so I am hoping he'll be around.
And those cybernetic hands are almost lifelike.

Ok I missed that
Yep Loki is correct he did say it was a Frag.My bad
As far as time between between actions from my experance normally 6 seconds from when the pin is pulled to exploding. However as Ody is holding it after the pin has been pulled it would take 4 seconds till exploding. The chemical process has already begin and is only waiting for the arming device to be removed so it can arm itself fully.
We used the pop and hold method in training and Panama to quicken the explosion rate so as not to have an opposing soldier, as crazy as it sounds, actually pick it up and try to throw it back. What you see in the movies about that happening is very very rare even on a 6 second timer. We had Veteran sergeants tell us during training that it all depended on the distance between pull and landing as grens are close in weapons except those fired by launchers like the old M79 or the underbarrel M203.

what I am getting
Ash pulled the pin and is holding the spoon. As long as he holds it tight, he could put the pin back in and walk away if everything worked out for him.
Apparently you can also disarm the grenade by unscrewing the top off and thereby remive the strike and precussion cap from the denonator.
So a very very very well aimed shot from a rifle could hit the grenade in his hand, destroying the striker and thereby rendering it useless. Chance are though it would blow of Ash's hand or fingers and make him drop the grenade.
Guess it all depends on how much Senor Psychopath believes in his skills, or is worried about dying.

Luke...I am your father.
Oh boy...
That is an awesome ballsy move Ody. I approve.
Looking forward to takin' on passengers (grimace) but having Eol playing again will be nice. Interesting new characters coming along as crew too.
So long as we're still flyin' when all is said and done...that's a good day.

However this turns out, Ody, I wanted you to know that this was an AWESOME decision... fun to read, and a nice way to handle the situation. If you die, you take the bad guy with you, yes?

Thank You..
Thanks folks. Without the inspiration of all you great writers I could never come close.
I just hope the die are with Asher.
Everyone think "Pearson roles a 1 and his gun blows up in his face!"

For Bromern
It would help me move the game along if I knew what Wyatt will do when he gets back up in the drift. Once he climbs the stairs he will hear the last part of Pearson's taunt and Ash's challenge back. Remember the drift is like a "b" on the side with the stem at top. Ash, Wolf are in the stem, you are in the circle part.

screw it
Here is one of my crudely drawn maps.
Willow, Brigit and Sam are in N. Wyatt is coming out of the passageway at M. Wolf and Ash are about four diagonal squares to the right to M. Pearson is down the shaft somewhere near the L. A is the elevator that works. K is the passageway to it, that Willow, Wyatt and Sam walked down. Everything from J to O is really unstable and is likely to crash down if a loud noise is made.

Yup...
...Ash certainly has demonstrated that he's got a big, brass pair, there, hasn't he? It's a wonder that Roc can break atmo with a load like that.
Well done, Ody!
