cool
Things are moving right along, no doubt.
I'm assuming that we still have a Tochi post to look forward to before I post again? Maybe a MacTavish one, too?

Yes sir!
Working on getting that Tochi post (and some more from the shuttle bay) done, today. Trying to do so whilst also listening in on an all day telecon, actually, so I might be a bit slooooooow to get things finished but I am hopeful that I'll get it wrapped today.

no worries
You guys wait for me all the time, no rush here. Just making sure that what I "knew" was, in fact, correct.

Ta to the da!
One Tochi post!
Ody pretty much covered anything else I might have done in Flight Control... (well done, buddy bear!)... so, I cut it short and didn't revisit the shuttle bay just yet.

Thanky.......
Just made a little amend to the shuttle bay post. When I wrote the post I wasn't sure which department handled the transporter. So after a little google and a roster check we now have a Vulcan Ops Petty Officer handling the shuttle transporter. So my shuttle flight crew is Fire and Ice.

Wasn't expecting another Drake post so quickly! Hooray!!!
Day 2 of the day-long telecon, for me... I'll try to eke out some time between slides to construct another post or two.

heh
I actually had to reign it in a bit, as I didn't want to push things too far forward without people getting their chance to react.
Yay for more posts!

My mind is crispity crunching after having been in meetings this week. Can't focus on finishing a post while my brain is swimming in alphabet soup and databases... Will try for tomorrow morning.

I have been writing a training manual...
I've been rewriting a training manual for a week-long class that we're holding the first week of June. I too am an egg that has been cracked, dropped in butter, and cooked on high heat in the skillet. I will attempt to write something tomorrow.
I have posted.

Hey..We Made It TV..........
Looks like the USS Discovery will be a new TV Series.
========================================================
Star Trek: Discovery
CBS' new Star Trek series will be called Star Trek: Discovery.
Showrunner Bryan Fuller announced earlier today that CBS' new Star Trek series, which is due out in January 2017, will be called Star Trek: Discovery. The announcement came during the 50th anniversary Star Trek panel, which was moderated by Fuller. Fuller and CBS also gave fans their first look at the show's ship, the U.S.S. Discovery.

It's been two months since CBS gave us our first look at Star Trek: Discovery, which promises "New crews. New villains. New heroes. New worlds." Several veterans of the Star Trek franchise were on the panel, and therefore in attendance for the announcement, including Star Trek: The Next Generation stars Brent Spiner and Michael Dorn, Star Trek: Voyager's Jeri Ryan, Scott Bakula of Star Trek: Enterprise, and William Shatner, who played "Captain James T. Kirk" on the original Star Trek series. It has not yet been announced which, if any, actors will reprise their Star Trek roles on Star Trek: Discovery.
Fuller promises the series will be "progressive" and "push boundaries."
Star Trek: Discovery will premiere exclusively on CBS and the network's streaming service CBS All Access. U.S. and Canadian residents will be able to watch subsequent episodes only on CBS All Access and Crackle, respectively. Fans outside the U.S. and Canada will be able to watch the new series within 24 hours on Netflix.

Yep...
...from what I understand, it's supposed to take place between Enterprise and TOS... 10 years before Kirk and crew or something like that.
The first episode will be shown on CBS but all episodes after that will be on CBS All Access. So, you know, for 10 bucks a month or whatever, you can watch the thing. The trailer looked okay but, honestly, it didn't make me go "Oh! Cool!"
Didn't like what they did with the Klingons, either... They looked super-plasticky or something... *shrugs*
I may watch the first episode but seriously doubt I'll pay for another streaming service to watch the rest... We'll see.

I'm hopeful.
But that's about it. I've liked what they've done with the new movies but feel that they are missing a core element of traditional Star Trek in the characters facing moral dilemmas and such. I like the actors in Discovery and the production looks flawless. But, we'll see.

Oh definitely...
I'm always hopeful when it comes to a new Trek (be it on TV, the web, or the big screen)... I just came away from the trailer a little underwhelmed, I guess. I really do hope my reservations are undone by the pilot episode.
