Sad panda.

Ortlieb has left, Sylvia is now depressed so expect a good chunk of silence from her maybe enough chatter to translate and help with the kobolds.

Welll...

He's not quite gone yet. Give him the evening to rest before you're off with him XD

As for translation, Achuak does speak pretty good Taldane, even if its not the best.

Hehe

XD you know who's really the lightest character despite their size?

Junn

Bugger's 6 and a half feet, but weighs less than Sordin... of course being an elf means he's got no meat on them bones, but still XD

For your benefit

Upon request, I have fashioned a NPC Roster on the first page of this Q&A for you. I didn't have a lot of space, so you'll have to scroll down a bit to see it, but I fit it in with the Chronology. You may even feel inclined to linger a while on the The World section, browse through some of the details that don't come up in the story directly.

Excuse you!

In many cultures, fat equates to wealth and prosperity. So depending on where people are coming from (such as the Mwangi Expanse).

The more you know

Guess who is from the Mwangi Expanse?

Yet another reason why Ortlieb loves her as a friend only XD

Chick is too pink, too small, and too skinny. Not even a vestigial tusk on her.

Grigs, Myirh, and plotting, Gunslinger?!?!?!?!

A vestigal tusk, I think if Ortlieb spent an equal time with Myirh and Sylvia he MIGHT like the tiny pink lady over the angry, angry bloodthirsty boozehound XD. As for the draconic, yes, once a plan between those needed is set Sylvia will ask for input from the others, the whole point she isn't yet is mostly because of the indecision that has come when the entire group tries to make a decision.

I would like to request a little bit of RP before we actually sally forth into the kobolds, or some discussion here and a quickie wrap up, to get things out of the way. I did pose some questions in my post, but, I would also like the rest of the parties input when I post my entire plan, and if anyone has any quams about Sylvia keeping it secretive for now, speak up. She will explain WHY after.

Hah

Heh, I don't know--Ortlieb did live the first half of his life with full-blooded orcs after all... Myirh might remind him of his ever-lovin' mother (now wouldn't that make for an awkward moment). Either way, he wouldn't like Sylvia any more or less. She's his friend, but she ain't a looker to his eyes.

Marching Order

I just realized, we need some kind of marching order. This is a guideline of who stands where when the party is moving through a dungeon in non-combat. This is so, for example, Sylvia doesn't just walk into a room and whoops looks like the monsters won initiative and she's the only one in range of all of their attacks (likewise, so when someone attacks the back of the line, Sylvia's not hiding nice and safe from the next room... but is perfectly easy to pick off unbeknownst to the rest of the party.

Lead. This is usually where you place your tank-iest warrior and/or best melee fighter. This way when they enter the room, nothing can stop them from charging straight into combat, and the squishies behind are safe from surprise. I would recommend Takahashi, because let's face it, anyone else would die in one hit or else be trapped without use of their bow.

Second Here's where you need your healers or other melee fighters so they can either fix up the lead if s/he gets butchered by the first onslaught, or quickly join melee. Aria serves both roles of healer and the only other person willing to enter melee.

Middle. Bring out your squishies and put them here. Squishiest casters go deepest in the middle (not at the back). These people are vulnerable to attack, or else work best when they have some range on their enemies. This is really a catch-all in parties larger than four. Sylvia is the only person who needs to be in here, since her Magic Missile takes no aiming penalties.

Rear Guard. Put either your best ranged warrior or your best perception check back here. The rear guard keeps an eye out for attacks from behind, especially the kind that might cause them to disappear without alerting the party in front of them. For this position, either Sordin or Achauk work best (when Achuak is not setting up traps or... well come to think of it, trap detection is good to have close to the front, too. I don't know, I usually forget about traps until we actually run into them, then forget to make precautions for next time).
