Sniper..........

Let me review the sniper. I don't think I could do a woman well.

Send me any info that might help with CyberPunk.

GIDDY?!

Hey, is Giddy still around? I need an extra brain to figure out what to do next?

Do we try to avoid the checkpoint? I think we're going to at least need to figure out a way to get our guns past the checkpoint... Blossom would rather not have to spend more NCDs to bribe them. Maybe she can just sweet talk her way through with a smile?

Thoughts (from anyone)? Am I allowed to ask for advice from around the virtual table?

Not Much Help

Those Security Checkpoints in High City are one of the Main Reasons why Vegas chose to take Casino with him to the Rat Pack in Mid City, rather than try to get their weapons past Security on the way to the Bartholomew School

Google Drive?

Don't mean to seem thick but I don't understand what you mean about character sheet located on Google Drive.

I provided a Link to Sammy Davis Jr singing 'Mr. Bojangles' to help you get a feel for the atmosphere at the Rat Pack Night Club while you are reading my New Post.

Giddy's still here...

I apologize, I'm going through training in the Navy currently and am extremely busy and brain-dead during the week.

From what I've read, I think it would be best to try and go around. Perhaps through the sewers or maintenance tunnel. Bloodbank would like very much to avoid security checkpoints, if possible (for personal reasons.)

If it comes down to it and we can't find any accessible sewers or such, maybe we'd be able to cause a diversion and sneak our way through. Earlier in the Q&A I believe you mentioned something about something akin to summoning a beast or something of the sorts. Maybe we could use something like that to cause a large enough diversion to try and slip through. Although, that'd be kinda a last resort in my opinion.

Perhaps Blossom could fake a signal or something that is more pressing, like an alarm somewhere indicating a zone break or something else that could draw them away.

I'll have a post up tomorrow, and try and think of more ideas in the meantime.

Would we know, are the mechs automatic? Like they automatically activate when trouble starts? Or do they need to be activated by the guards at the check point? Would there be any chance that Blossom may be able to mess with the friend and foe targeting of these mechs if it comes down to a firefight? Or maybe to cause a distraction itself. Or, if the guards need to actually activate the mech, then jam their activation signal?

Is the checkpoint at the entrance/exit of the subway station? Perhaps we could fake a medical emergency. Or a small fire. Although, Bloodbank probably won't be on board as far as starting a fire is concerned.

The sensors we have to walk through. Are they more like x-rays, or...? If they're x-rays, maybe we might be able to inconspicuously slip something that looks questionable to someone making their way through before us and try and slip through in the confusion. Although, I doubt Bloodbank would be too happy about that either.

Like I said, I'll think about it more and get a post up tomorrow.

Ody, Hammer, and Giddy

Check your email (the one you have listed in your RDINN account). I sent a link to the character sheet stored on Google Drive for you to review.

Nice post, Hammer. Check your PMs.

You're forgiven for your absence, Giddy. This once.

In order for Blossom to fake a signal, she'd need to wardrive the city systems, the security systems, or some of the emergency responder systems. In order to wardrive, she needs to be able to access a datapoint. The only datapoint she could access from inside the station would be that of the security booth itself, and she'd have to be inside the booth with the security guards to do that, or cut into the system from the outside of the booth which would require heavy-grade cutting tools capable of cutting through cement and metal.

The mechs are active. They constantly scan faces in the crowd and are outfitted with highly-sensitive sensors that can detect elevated heart rates, blood pressure, and tell-tale signs of extreme duress. But, as you've suggested, their Friend/Foe algorithms will not declare a foe unless commanded by the security staff, or the threat has obviously escalated requiring their services. Again, in order to take control of the mechs, Blossom would have to physically connect with—or use a construct to physically connect with—the mech and wardrive.

The scan stations are high-tech. Think of the airport security we have now and add biometric and cyberware scanning, facial recognition, and a catalog of known weaponry that the scanning searches against.

Here's a map of the train station for your viewing pleasure.

Delayed

Sorry, guys, busy family weekend with Mother's Day and a couple birthday and guests from out of town.

I'll have something up tomorrow, though I don't have a lot of ideas.

Giddy, Blossom is not able to hack one of the mechas or cause a distraction as suggested. Though I do like the maintenance tunnel route.

Sorry Gang.......

I have read the handbooks and some of the other stuff posted as ref material and I am sorry but I just don't feel it playing the forum.

Just wasn't getting comfortable with the game style.

So I have to beg off.

But thank you for thinking of me.
