MACO Blacks

Space is dark, hence the black fatigues. I like those alot Eol. As a Marine, I think they are cool. It will look so good with my red hair.

The party

Just a question how many of the Romulans are being invited to the dinner? Also when and where is the dinner? This is so I can write about receiving the invitation.

Oh, goody, I get to go to a PARTY. Jumps up and down.

Time clash

Well I suppose this is my fault for jumping ahead slightly in the time-line, but Commander Sitok has called for a meeting of officers at 1000 hours and Vaela's last post was time-stamped at 1038.

Any chance Sitok could push his meeting back slightly? And would the meeting be for all officers or just departmental heads?

Timeline

Ok .. so there is an officers meeting in the captains chamber .. at 900 and a different meeting at 1000 or are these the same meetings being confused .. and there is a dinner? I was trying to sort it out .. but can someone make a brief timeline with the date and time here of what I could use for my next post .. Thanks

timeline clarifications!

Most game posts so far have happened on 2374.08.31.

We're now getting some on into 2374.90.01, at which point all personnel are expected to report to the Cerberus by 0900 hours.

The staff meeting is set to take place at 1000 hours on the 1st.

The dinner party is set to take place at 1800 hours on the 2nd.

My advice: if your posts conflict with the timeline, please edit your timestamps a tad. Also, please give ample time for folks to wrap things up on the 1st before the dinner party posts start pouring in.

*Beams back in*

Sorry for the absence, folks. Real life reared it's ugly head and I had to put it in a headlock and run it around the block a few times. Working furiously on posts to catch us up and move us ahead a bit. have something up by tonight with a little bit of luck.

Pulling a little tactic from Mass Effect.

Chastising statement: using the logbook will help eliminate conflicting timeline posts.

Positive remark: the posts thus far have been invigorating.

Interesting!

I'm in the midst of composing a few different posts and, as I was whipping one up for the Charon's CEO, I referenced Memory Alpha and just happened to stumble upon an entry for a new Star Trek flick that's slated to release in December '08. Apparently, the new film (titled simply "Star Trek"), will focus on the "early days" of the original series crew (Kirk, Spock, etc)... not much of the plot has been revealed in any place I've looked, of course, but I did manage to find some "comfirmed" casting notes... Some of the cchoices are very interesting, me thinks...

Cast:
  • Chris Pine (Smokin’ Aces, Just My Luck) - Kirk
  • Zacahry Quinto (Heroes) – Spock (Leonard nimoy, will be making an appearance as Spock, as well, I guess... Time line jumping in the film, maybe?)
  • Anton Yelchin – Chekov
  • Zoe Saldana – Uhura
  • Eric Bana – “Nero” (A Romulan and, apparently, “the big villain” in this film)
  • Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) – Scotty
  • John Cho – Sulu
  • Karl Urban – Dr McCoy
  • Bruce Greenwood – Capt Christopher Pike
  • Winona Ryder – Amanda Grayson (Spock’s mother)
  • Jennifer Morrison – Kirk’s mother
  • Chris Hemsworth – George Kirk Sr (Kirk’s father)
  • Clifton Collins Jr - Ayel (“cohort and general to Nero”)
  • Rachel Nichols – unnamed Orion (maybe Kirk's "first foray with a green chick?" )
  • Ben Cross – Sarek (Spock’s father)

Ah well... enough "ohhhh, ahhhh, a new movie" jabber... back to post making.

Yep, yep

Yep I heard about this. My feelings are it'll be a Star Trek-Brokeback Mountain hybrid.

Or then again maybe not...

On another note I do know that in the summer they were fishing around for extras. Sadly any trekkies in California have probably missed their chance.

Left Out

Blast, I feel beft out of all the fun going on left out. Brianna MacQueen and the rest of the Marines are all, apparently, stuck out on DS9 and will miss the party and a whole bunch of fun going on right now.

Karl Urban as McCoy?

I have to agree it doesnt sound like a good match.. unless they make McCoy a A** kicking doctor!

I can think of at two ways this movie will come off with fans... either it will disillusion fans of the original and make people say, "What the...? This stinks!"

or... people will love it and think, "Man the original should have been more like this movie."

We will see...
