Like to hear from people
First issue - sixth man
I don't want to delay the game much longer and lose people so my thoughts are to move ahead with teh crew we have and then if we need to, bring another person in later. However it has been suggested that the sixth person would be good now. Thoughts?
Second Issue - The ship
There are those who want to make the ship their own and tinker with the enhancements and equipment. There are those that don't care. If you want to be part of the upgrade party, let me know so we can get it done - and if no one does I will stock the ship as I see fit and we can move out.
Third issue - Starting the game
I will get this game started by the weekend. at a post a week, it will be a few weeks before Destint leaves Greenleaf so any "tweaking" can be done then.
Thank you to those who have provided blurbs, I will be posting them in the characters section soon. Those who have not (Grugg and MMV) - please get them to me.

The game
#1 - 5 is good, 6 is better. I wouldn't mind waiting a little bit for another player. But if everyone wants to get going then I'm fine with that too.
#2 - I don't know enough to outfit the ship but I am sure someone, nudge Celeste, will step up. Just make sure it has weights.
#3 - A post a week is no problem for me. I'm ready to go!

Sorry about the delay
Grace's behaviour and actions are usually based on her opinion of the people around her. Due to her past experiences, Grace is a little paranoid and uncomfortable around strangers. When among people she likes and trust, she is polite, relaxed and otherwise easy to be around. However when among strangers , it's a different story. Grace gets very quiet and glares at people with suspicion in her eyes. If she really does not like the person, she avoids them like Reavers and stays in her room or in the engine room. Similarly when the ship takes passengers or anything to do with strangers on the ship, Grace will disappear into the engine room.
Over the five years that you have known Grace, she has come to trust you. She is friendly with everyone on the crew. She tends to not talk about her past and she will get annoyed if people press her too much on it. She also does ask that no one but herself go into her room. If she suspects that someone has been in her room, it would not be a good day for them. While she won't mess up the engines, Grace does know how to break or damage anything that has wires, nuts, bolts or screws in them.

fun
I have to give props to MMV for such a "nutbar" character. I can see Grace as being a lot of fun in this game. Kinda of what a child of Kaylee and Jayee would turn out like.

Like most ex-Browncoats, Jon has a pronounced distaste for the Alliance, though in the years since the war ended he's focussed more on keeping his own crew alive and ship flying than dealing with old grudges. He has a great love of the 'verse however, and isn't a fan of anyone who seeks to deny any part of it to anyone, which can sometimes get him into trouble.
Since captaining Destiny, he's proved himself as a caring leader, generally known for putting his crew's well-being before his own, and for always being there when they need him. Though getting paid is a large motivation for Jon, and he's loath to spend what he does get paid if he can avoid it, he seems more inspired to take a job when it seems interesting and risky, which inevitably ends with him getting in over his head.
His tendency to get himself into trouble gives him opportunities to shows what years of military training and leadership can do, and though not the strongest or quickest man out in the Black, he's one of the most confident, and hopes his calm and levelhead will help him and his crew out when things go down.

Updated list
Updated list. I don’t know about other things, I wouldn’t mind increasing either Will or Vit for Destiny, but I don’t know if we have the cashy money for that (we could always take away one of the armor points) I’d love to have stun armor, but its way too expensive. Does Scrapware cover a good portion of “aw crud, the *** broke. We got something to patch it together for now? Oh look! Our box of junk!” ? I’m down with having the rest of our credits as day to day funds.
Am I missing anything? Any contention with what I’ve put together?
edit:I missed the grav suit in case something goes horribly wrong and we need to go for a spacewalk! I did not find prices for these, but I think we need at least 6.

vaccuum suit
The Vacuum Suit is 67 credits. So you'd want at least 6, probably a spare (402-469).
You don't have to put the food stores in on this list. You will have to buy later to keep flying but it is assumed.
So that is 5750 appr (with 7 suits). So you will start the game with 250 in petty cash, plus the 300 deposit from the companion. You started with a fresh tank of fuel and would be half way now (300 hours)
Grace has a personal access terminal in her room with a home built dedicated source box, with a tri-level black coder/decoder. It is keyed to her thumb print, retinal scan and 128bit access code that she changes frequently but not in a regular (predictable) fashion. That won't be held against the cost of the ship.
You may want a few trap doors hidden in the floors/ceiling. The galley to the cargo bay is a possiblility. Also from Grace's room to aft cargo bay via ventilation ducts. Never know when secret doors might help you.
I have received a sixth character from Phelan (Celeste hubby). It is good, just needs the background filled in a bit.

I just posted
I have posted the opening. If you read it quickly, check it again for the graphic.
Heel free to post for character, backpost for journey there and general reaction to this new person looking to hire you. We can resolve the sixth man soon enough.

Yup
Maybe taking liberties with backstory. If anyone wants anything changed, I'll happily do so.
