If the ranger it truly alright with killing the animals, then I will go along with the majority on this one.

Rolling

So, Pavel deducts 3 arrows and our elf ranger will deduct two arrows. I decided to roll for you for expediency but if you want to reroll for yourself you can.

You all need to make a DC 10 strength check if you are going to try and climb the fissure garbage chute thingie.

Sorry things have been crazy... it is a deadline week....

Pavel will wait on climbing. Let one of the others go first, and if there is a reason to climb, then go ahead.

if required I rolled a 12

Climbing

Sorry for slow posting - I haven't seen updates. I must be just missing them when they slide off the latest updated page.

As for climbing, we have a small issue. Dane is the logical choice to climb. However, he can't climb in the dark and any light source would give away the whole enterprise. So while he is the best choice and I'd be happy to try, I think it is a bad idea. He needs some light. Which means that the ranger is the best choice. The problem is that I hate to send an NPC up first. It seems a bit cheap. But it also seems right in this case.

Padre

Yeah, I think we need you to post. Specifically, if we are now climbing the . . chimney thingy . . . we need to decide who goes first and if we all climb together. I'm inclined to send up the ranger first, but it seems cheap to do to a NPC. What do you think?

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry :/

Sorry about that. I didn't realize it was my turn.

The Ranger is the logical choice, as to send up a light gives us away...

That said....

Now that the wolves are gone, when we look up the chute can we see anything of interest? Light at the top for instance?

Well

The light situation is kind of awkward, but if makes you feel any better its' specifically written in the scenario that way.

I've always found it kind of annoying and awkward in games I've played as well that goblinoids and orcs have such good night vision, it just makes the idea of sneaking around in the dark places they live pretty difficult, which obviously puts you at a disadvantage, but there you have it.

That's all part of the challenge. We have to find a way to overcome the problem.

Sorry

For not checking in in a while.

I don't want to push ya'll in one direction or the other...Do you want the dark elf to take point, or would you rather a PC do that? I am just laying out options here, adding some color here and there for narrative pleasure. The choice is yours.

Pavel will take a peek...

That said, what direction are the goblinoids facing?

Is the bugbear with his back to us, but the goblins facing us? etc.

well

they're not immediately facing you. They're facing eachother, but no one has their back directly to you, and if you stand out to long, you'd probably get noticed eventually.
If you're going to try to sneak up on them, it'd be a stealth check. Though they are surprised if you attack immediately

Basically they're just huddled around a large fire off away from all the stolen loot they're stock piling here.

Any specific questions?
